It might be the quality of millenial writers, the quality of extemporaneously produced gootube content, the lion kingdom's reduced attention span, or modern politicians, but Xena is a lot easier on the ears than 20 years ago. Certainly more believable than Atomic Blondie. Modern heroines aren't believable. They either get beaten up beyond death or they're way too feminine. Modern audiences are a lot more conservative than 20 years ago.

Anyone not living in a tent is going to be putting out a lot more for the 99%. The lion kingdom doesn't question as much her decision to live in Manhattan while complaining about the lack of entitlements because she's one of the few who are part of the work hard play hard generation & still using the internet.
