Torrents inside a VPN inside a container behind masquerading inside wifi were the next challenge. ifconfig showed the container transferring data, but transmission-remote showed nothing coming in.  wget & ping were pretty intermittent.

Every VPN needs a script that sets the tun0 MTU.  Wget only worked intermittently with 1420 for eth0 & 1340 tun0.

Openvpn uses options in the .ovpn file called tun-mtu & mssfix.  After a certain number of logins, protonvpn starts rejecting everything for a while.  This & the lack of peers for torrents make troubleshooting quite difficult.

Looking like torrents need to join gootube downloads on the gateway & that means the gateway needs to be not recording audio.  The local wifi shouldn't be recording audio either.  The raspberry pi 3 doesn't do 5Ghz.  Another raspberry pi 4 could come online & go on the floor.

Simultaneous access point & station requires both functions to be on the same channel, which isn't ideal.  Xena could get a new enclosure that contained a 2nd raspberry pi & all the sub Ghz radios.  Xena should move to a raspberry pi 4 to get 5Ghz.  That would account for all the functional 4's.

Sadly, the torrents always have to run in a container & that's the fundamental problem.  They might have to run on a dedicated confuser with direct wifi & no container.

Wish someone told us sleeping with a fully made up 30 year old Barbra Streisand was never going to happen.

Women went crazy expecting fairy tail prince charmings.  Men went crazy expecting fairy tail super models.

Some house ideas floated around, after reviewing drywall alternatives.  Basically, there's drywall, bare insulation, & modular panels.  Modular panels are the most miserable, found in restrooms & prefab houses.

Lions don't remember what their most miserable accommodations used.  There are no photos.  It's believed the 1st dorm used modular panels.  The 1st apartment used painted cinderblock.  Thereafter, they were all drywall.  No matter how miserable, every building eventually felt like home.

The best path might be to build as lions can afford to pay.  The 1000 sq ft living area would receive drywall & the 1000 sq ft shop area would initially remane bare insulation.  Then the shop area would be drywalled, 2 years later.  DIY drywallers use tools to aid drywall placement but they're all younger than lions.

Lions have also pondered an unenclosed roof on stilts for the garage.  It's unknown how that would handle hurricanes.  Lots of old houses have unenclosed roofs.

Property tax assessment is the big one.  We would be so lucky if living space was assessed different than shop & garage space.

There's a good chance the cost of housing becomes so high, property tax & insurance forever exceed the cost of rent, after inflation.  This is the leading argument for renting tiny apartments & hopping around the country.  It's a tradeoff between having room for toys or having locations.  Lions could live out their lives spending a year in the gold coast, Utah, Texas, Tampa, Cape Canaveral.

It's been 25 years, but lions might have finally found a decent icon.

Gave it a hair more of a seriff to match the thundercats beard.

Watch out for the unreal logo though.

Could imagine everyone copying the same logo style, soon.

Also in this issue, we finally have multicolored labels after a long fight.  That was a big change to the EDL & the bitmap mangling routines.  There's still flickering when the cursor moves around.  It looks like 1 routine draws checked labels inside the highlighted region & another routine overwrites them with unchecked labels.

TimeBar::update_highlights checks only the labels on the cursor position.

TimeBar::update_labels checks all the labels inside the highlighted region.

Concessions had to be made, in order to chroma key a common label graphic.  There couldn't be a different color to indicate checked labels anymore.  Not all the label colors visibly highlight to the same intensity.

Lions also wanted more accurate label positions so the icon width had to be an odd number & the icons moved right against the timeline.  They couldn't go down & right as far when pressed.

There's still somewhat of a desire to assign titles to each color, but they would only be visible in the popup menu, quite laborious to set, too laborious to make specific to an EDL & prone to getting overwritten as a global setting.  For now, the key needs are the current play head, still frame locations, range of rendered output.  A lion can probably remember them.  Maybe the text could be a tool tip for each label.  The prerequisite would definitely be a way to synchronize settings between multiple instances.

It's not clear if a lion would pick the right color, even if they all had titles.
