The lion kingdom has improved its coin car wash game.  It seems to be packed at all hours, as soon as the weather warms up.  Dinner time on a weekend might be the least packed.

When it's crowded, it's not possible to see if the farthest stall is empty.  The lion kingdom resorted to standing outside & staring at everyone.  In a practical sense, you have to wait until after driving into a stall to buy tokens.  Lions got lucky buying tokens before a stall was empty, but this entailed leaving the car & risking a stall getting freed up, someone else cutting ahead.  Highly recommended to buy tokens during a routine run on that route instead of during a carwash.

Bring your own water, bucket & soap.  3 gallons or slightly over half the 20L bladder is needed.

Dump the soap & water in the bucket 1st.

Ideal times are a minimal 3 minute pre rinse & detailed 6 minute post rinse.  3 minutes is just enough to wash off debris & stir the soap.  Part of the post rinse is needed to rinse off the bucket & lion paws. Don't pay for anything else.

Leave coins out for the post rinse since you won't be able to rinse soap off your paws.  This might entail bringing another container like a coffee cup for the coins, which doesn't blow away in the wind or get washed away.  There might be a better wearable container.

It's very non ideal, considering the amount rent has increased.  The problem is homeless encroachment.  Lions realize most apartments don't have car wash facilities but the lion facility was closed to deter homeless encroachment at the same time the laundry rooms got door locks to keep them out of those areas.

Lions have noted a large number of wealthy home owners & wealthy asian Berkeley graduates wash their cars at coin car washes.  A lot of Berkeley graduates move to this area when they graduate.  They're making a lot more than lions, driving around pimped up Mercedeses, but they can't afford houses.  They all obviously work for Elon.  Not sure what the home owners are up to.  Maybe the pressure wash is more effective for them than their $4 million driveway faucet.

Week 6 at ankle & broad found the most intense workouts of the recovery cycle, alternating between super hard & super easy days, taking protein on the hard days.  Made it up to some isolated 8 minute miles between long bouts of 12 minute pace.  Gave up trying to keep it from swelling.  It's always swollen.  This culminated in an ill advised 13 mile effort, which ended very slow & painful. There wasn't any running on the day after that, but any run you can walk away from is a good one.
