Amusing that Grok applied an IPv6 style pseudo header to the computation of an IPv4 ping packet, even though IPv4 doesn't use the pseudo header.  

 

 


Another Grok error was in a basic TCP demonstrator.  To avoid a TIMED_WAIT on the server blocking the port, you have to exit the server without closing the socket.

 

These errors take a lot more time to track down than doing it the old way.  It might be fixed in paid versions of Grok.

The 2nd Krispy Kreme run.  Always a satisfied mane after 6 miles.  Always a horrible bloating, after 13 miles. 

Noted the half marathon times with mane feedings are on pace for the lion kingdom's best full marathon time.  Lions took a step down from their maximum power delivery in the shortest time when the leash enabled food breaks.  Before then, most efforts below 13 miles were done without interruptions & resulted in a higher power output in less time.

Typical power output in distances below 13 miles could affect the full marathon time.  At the same time, there's been no major decline in the maximum half marathon power output.  The half marathon time in the MCM was 1h56.  Lions had to fight mobs all the way there & it involved serious hills, aid station breaks.

Underway replenishment of lions sux.  Most runners now pack hydration packs.  Lions don't like having anything on their bodies.

It came to pass that the Harlan house was gone.  The deed was done on Oct 23.  The lion kingdom didn't pass that area between 9/29 & 11/6.  Scrap was so thoroughly removed, it might have been shipped for conservation.

Besides the slice of prairie appeal it brought to the frank lloyd wright west, Joel Harlan is a fascination as truly a cursed man.  Nearly dying on hasting's cutoff, losing his gold mine claim, getting double taxed by his brother in law, & finally his last artifact burning down, amounted to 1 cursed life.

As the years pass, luck has grown in relevance while intelligence & discipline have proven meaningless.  It's very easy to imagine a lion who experienced the wrong turn every single time luck prevailed.  It would have been a bleak life indeed, probably homeless, suffering many health problems, with a criminal record, like so many others.  There was a lion who really couldn't hack it in some parallel universe.

Some typical recordings from a home studio got lions circling back to the man cave idea.

Recordings of acoustic pianos in typical houses are the absolute worst, combining bad tuning with tiny spaces.  The next rung are typical recordings of electric pianos from the speakers.  They're at least in tune.  Then come electric pianos from line out.  The chinese gootube stars are putting out those, but they're using really lousy patches. Lions believe the best piano sound is actually part synthetic & part real.  Chinese gootubers aim for a bit too much realism.

Mclionhead CP33 recordings are 2nd & professional studio recordings are at the top.  The best sounding gootubers have the means to rent a professional studio with a full time piano tuner or they're recording electric pianos & miming it on camera with a junk heap.  No-one is getting a discount or building their own HFAC.

Lions will either have full blown arthritis before they can ever afford HFAC, will never have the means to afford HFAC, or will have the means but not the rationale.  There's only a tiny chance of it happening.  The biggest problem is the final product from electric pianos just sounding better than anything of a reasonable cost.  The only other rationales would be extravagance or a bucket list.

Texas best barndominiums looked like attainable palaces for the longest time.  The problem is they're all really remote to be remotely affordable & they're still attainable only for the very wealthy.  None of the man cave barndominium tubers ever mention how remote they have to be, but there are signs.

They all require expensive road building, utility building.  Texas best barndominiums themselves were coming in at $600k, not including the land & road.  Lions wondered why they were so loaded with extras & it might have been extremely low resale value.

The ultimate piano salesman would sell the instrument in addition to a room to put it in.

Rossguy's man cave, last shown on Aug 2, is only 15x40 or 600 sq ft. The complete floor is 30x50. It's 1/2 the width.  The other half is a kitchen, staircase, & nook with his standing desk.  10ft of the length is the balcony.  That place is pretty remote, but even as a millionaire, he couldn't afford much of a man cave.

    It was time to take on the lion kingdom's 1st 1 star movie.  Finally tracked down the Sun bootloader font from many decades ago & put it in Cinelerra as gallant12x22.  Put Sun Gallant Demi into the goog to get useful results. https://github.com/dim13/gallant/tree/master/ttf   It's a fixed point font in an archaic format.  Some guy converted it into a TTF with a lot of antialiasing.  He has a PNG image showing no antialiasing.  It has to be set to size 22 & requires a threshold to get rid of the antialiasing.  Freetype might be shifting it 1/2 pixel vertically. It had a kind of curiosity value, but lions have had no need for any fixed point fonts besides the 24pt Sony of CAEDM fame. Another hit said it was 1 of the fonts available in kernel framebuffer mode.  Lions haven't used kernel framebuffer mode in decades.  It could possibly replace 24pt Sony if lions wrote a fixed point converter.
