After 6 months, got back up to 24 miles with great difficulty. It seems a full marathon is going to entail collapsed arches. It makes lions wonder if an orthotic can be fitted to a sandal. It's going to take a return to shoes to ever do another ultramarathon.
Doing it in 12mm sandals definitely hurt, but 12mm sandals previously led to less posterior tibialis pain.
Surprised 1 speed event in July caused so much regression, but metabolic changes in old age are ending the party. Trails might be easier on the posterior tibialises.
Today's effort featured an 8.5 minute program on the way up & a 9-12 minute program on the way down. Actual top speeds were in the 8m45 range. The final mile was straight walked.
Tried going without electrolyte & didn't cramp but did become quite stiff. Felt the borderline of cramping & went to walk/running. Still finished with salt deposits, so some electrolyte was being shed.
Some sort of electrolyte portioning is required, but exactly how to do it is a mystery.
Took a single glucose stick in the final 6 miles.
Didn't stretch before this one, but theories continue favoring stretching.
Lion body mass fell like a rock after that, to 168. It seems electrolyte causes a lot of water retention. Had straight pink slime after that. The posterior tibialises recovered faster.
There were a few really tall, dominant, hottie trophy wives out there, capped off by a supremely tall blond hottie basketball player of some kind. The ones from lion demographic all hit it off with really tall executives, doctors, lawyers.
Running up & down for the last 10 years, noted Alamo turning into the haven of the super rich while the lion den became an H1B equivalent of chinatown.

Then dreamed about a curly maned, chunky, blond hottie doing some kind of pullups. There was a long bar in a playground you could traverse while hanging. There are lots of short maned, chunky, blond hotties.
Frizz hottie from Hollow Man. Previously in BTTF. Now over 60.
or Tomboy rower hottie. She still has a pretty hard life, driving a raft in the ever shrinking colorado river.

Some playback tests showed Larrocha played Fandago at 93bpm & El Pelele at 90bpm. That is insanely fast. Originally started learning those because they sounded real simple. Thought they'd be another round of final fantasy or Escenas. As the process ground on, blamed old age & loss of sight reading skills for what really are hard pieces.
played Fandago at 90-94 with a lot of slowdowns & errors. The granados piano roll has 87. Makes you appreciate what Larrocha did by learning all the granados repertoire. The age when it was worth any animal attaining such a high level of skill is gone. 20th century recordings are now like the pyramids.
The maximum lion tempo is going to end up in the 70's & that's going to be after 18 months. It's not going to be a 1 year piece. In lion defense, it was learned in parallel with a bunch of other pieces, part time.
