Bacon was historically unaffordable for lions.  Historically, it was either $2 beef or $5 bacon.  Now that meats are crossing $10/lb, bacon is rapidly becoming preferred.  Attempt 3 at bacon involved nuking 1 lb on a mountain of paper towels.  It became clear that this 600W microwave needs 30 minutes to fully cook it.  After 12 minutes, the paper towels didn't absorb all the fat & they were sitting in a puddle, but they were deemed edible. The yellow death didn't allow any more bacon heating.  Using bacon as a meat substitute requires frying it separately in the pan & storing it while the noodles cook. It's a decent pork substitute when not fully seered. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Encountered some difficulty with the way undo handles the project filename.  Undo previously restored the filename from the undo stack, but if you made changes & saved it un...

Suspect the santa clause rally began 4 months early this year because there's no other place to put money.  Cash is about to nose dive with interest rates soon going back to the underworld. Chatgpt is promoting a policy disconnect where banks borrow at the future 2% fed funds rate to buy long dated bonds at the higher market rate.  It seems to miss the idea of increased demand from banks pushing down long term yields. It's probably a copy of an uncredited internet source.  There's no longer any way to cross reference an author or find any context for an internet search result, since they're all being mutilated without any sources. The world’s favorite holding company Berkshire Hathaway makes a charitable donation of stonk every year, totaling $60B so far. In 2025, it was $6B. Upon Warren’s death, $152B of the company stonk will go to charity over 10 years. What they do with the shares is unknown. They could be burning it all on general aviation or they could be ...

The thing is lions most often don't watch old movies from start to finish anymore.  They just seek around & watch key moments at 2x.  Movies have just about gone the way of music, when music no longer required listening to a full album to hear 1 song & we started just loading the 1 song, skipping the intro.  The pirated one lions got in 2010 was sped up to 25fps along with the audio.  1280 was as high as it went.  3 minutes were cut since the DVD.  The condom scene was cut.  Pacing is a lot faster than lions remember, probably because modern movies are so much slower & lions are older.   Quite a difference in attitudes with advertising copywri...

Broke 300 miles of run/walking in 1 month, for the 1st & last time.  If lions didn't have to make money, it would happen more often.    No bed & food waiting here anymore.  No-one else paying the bills.  The amber lights are now white.   Mane St is still car free, at the right hour.  ---------------------------------------------------------------- Lions have now had mild CFS for over a month, 1 hour active for every 2 hours of either sleeping or sleep walking.  You eventually plan everything to fit in that 1 active hour.  It's a symptom of the current strains of cold viruses.  It truly is awful & lions can see it easily progressing to full time bedriddenness.   It actually isn't as bad when running.  The sleep walking phases continue to kick in, but aren't as intense.  The act of previously pumping blood seems to keep it from gaining any hold.  --------------------------------------------...
