Surprised to find the Edison Steinway still for sale. It was last valued at $45k in 2021.    https://www.thesteinwayhunterbook.com/as-seen-in-the-ny-times.html   Edison bought it in 1890 & sold it in 1929.   Rachmaninoff's only Edison recordings were in 1919 on a Lauter concert grand.  Not sure why they didn't use the Edison Steinway. A piano that Rach played would be quite valuable. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=10222544732191409&set=pcb.10222544734511467 https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=10222544732991429&set=pcb.10222544734511467 Lost HFAC photos.  Lions have become connoisseurs. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A difficulty with the chromakey is the way Avid moves the wedge point when minimum saturation is applied.  That could be done by doing...

The lion kingdom started catching up more with generation X by watching the Knight Rider pilot.  With the average TV show, the pilot is the only episode worth watching.  The rest are all trash. There's always some intrigue over how the mane character is inducted into his new role.  The only thing really novel in that show was the car moving without a driver & the dashboard.  Even today, no-one actually uses the summon feature on a Tesla.

Another HFAC dream in which some girl was blasting the lion kingdom for using a practice room. Then was in some kind of haunted house you didn't want to be caught in after dark.  It was later remodeled so it was lit up & not haunted anymore.  The lion kingdom wandered through formerly dark, haunted rooms & wondered what would happen if the power went out. Then was in a giant dining room with really tall chairs.  Had to climb up a chair.  Experienced blurred vision on top & they said it was some kind of effect.  Climbing down was a lot harder.

Finally noticed the taco bell closed in 2017, after the mane complained about running past every day without being fed. Lions didn't run past this area until 2018 so there was never a missed mane feeding. An assortment of runs before 2018 show lions staying on the east side of the valley & never running for logistics as they do now. The south west corner was uncharted territory only accessible by car.

The 2008-2022 playbook seems to be back.  We seem to be at the pivot point for the current tightening phase.  The big question is when or if inflation pivots.  It's really a gamble either way, but the government is obviously not focused on inflation & probably never was.  5-6% has been a comfortable target for a lot of economists. The thing about tightening is we were in a tightening phase from 1987-2001 which accompanied a boom.  It eventually crashed, but to avoid the 33% drop in 2000 you had to miss 300% of growth after 1987.   There might be momentary loosening during a very long term tightening.  The big question may not be whether you're going to lose everything in the stonk market, but whether the stonk market is going to yield as much as interest rates in the short term.

The lion kingdom was 1 of the 2800 viewers who watched Strider.  How does a low budget movie stage a race without paying for extras?  It doesn't have the race.  The mane event besides the goofy plot is of course, blond, dominant & rage filled. She's a runner in real life.

Another ultrarunner movie with a twist.  His wife has a hard life manually cleaning mud from his socks.  That's a definite case for wearing sandals. Was actually intrigued by the way he paved his own trail in a plot of undeveloped land.  The thought has occurred of paving a trail when rural living becomes necessary.  All the land is private property.  There's supposedly an easement for a trail.  It would definitely be a dramatic change from running short distances every day to maybe running really far once a week. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqGEhv0QM6k Road Guy Bob visits the HFAC.  The day that vijeo was uploaded, the lion kingdom dreamed they changed their mind & decided to preserve the HFAC.   The lion kingdom might have been there during the tail end of the golden age.  They started locking up the good pianos in the spring of 1997.  The summer of 1997 was when they took away the good pianos for good.  1995 was firm...

https://www.rentcafe.com/blog/rental-market/market-snapshots/millionaire-renter-households-triple-in-numbers/ This story from 2020 refers to annual income rather than net worth.  Most lion neighbors have over $1 million in net worth which doesn't even cover a down payment anymore.   Funny that the brief drop in rents in 2020 doesn't even show up as a blip anymore.   A Schwab study from 2017 showed what lions always knew. https://www.aboutschwab.com/schwab-modern-wealth-index A big factor might be millennials never experiencing a long term decline like previous generations did.  The decline from 1999-2010 has never been repeated.  Lions also noted a cooling in party atmosphere.  They're a more focused generation.  The party atmosphere peaked with the hippies & has been heading down ever since.

Finally watched Creepshow, 40 years after rereading the comic book many times by flashlight. The highlight visually might have been the now vintage Apple II which was cutting edge in those days. Nothing utterly terrifying.  Better writing than anything current.  Only slightly deviates from the comic book. The highlight emotionally might have been when after feeding his wife to the warewolf, the now liberated man sits down to doing anything he wants.  The big deviation was the warewolf escaping in the end, while the comic book kept him trapped underwater. The zombies might have been easier on the eyes than the single women. The original comic book is now on archive.org with a 1 hour free trial.  With a 4k monitor, all you need to do is screencap it while turning the pages.  The raw images are very high res but a 4k screencap is still higher than any animal would actually read it in. Helas, the center page crease is cropped off. There's enough in a 2850x1890...
