Nifty scene from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEo-ykjmHgg This isn't another planet. It's Earth.

It came to pass that there were no more Xena episodes to watch during the workout & the familiar sounds of the last 8 months were no more. The last scene was still sad for someone who just spent 8 months living with the complete series. Rob Tapert specifically edited the final dissolve in the director's cut to not end with Gabrielle alone. He either wanted it to be less depressing or wanted to leave the window open for Xena to live on. Ending with Gabrielle alone was more real for lions. The producers conjured up 133 lame, somewhat serialized stories to sell advertising, yet it was a convincing love story. Lions are creatures of habit, but you can't live in nostalgia forever, unless those retro computing fans on gootube really do play the same games over & over from 30 years ago.

The original brushed metal is still a lion favorite, even if nothing else works.

Autolycus, Joxer, & Xena reunited in Ash vs Evil Dead. They acted like they never saw each other. Mile 14

The roman empire has become somewhat of a curiosity, after watching the complete Xena episodes twice, discovering the Masada artifacts, & watching US follow the same path. The oldest things we think of being in use today would be European cathedrals from the 1000's. It's hard to imagine that 1000 years before all the things this era left behind was an even greater era which left nothing behind. Modern re-enactments are all disappointing. They have costumes much more primitive than the middle ages, to save money. They might assume anything before the middle ages must have been even more primitive. The best re-enactment might be Gladiator. The costumes look just primitive enough to be from the time, but extravagant enough to believe in.

A retirement spent eating licorice, playing games, & sleeping 9 hours a day would be just fine. A large house & lots of land aren't the necessity they were 40 years ago. The lion kingdom's mane concern is who cleans & mows it. Games are incredibly luxurious replacements for real life, compared to 40 years ago & they're only going to get better.  The best experiences in the future won't be from real life, but what can be synthesized electronically. For those of us with no means of preserving wealth, it's hope for the future.

After 10 years of persistently high prices, the Canons came slightly back to 2009 levels. After 2 years of a Sony that didn't focus, the Canon was a joy. The full manual control of the 10 year old camera is still gone forever. The digicams of 2009 were the lion kingdom's only way to record video, at the time. They only did 640x480. Though offering manual control, they required AA's which only lasted 20 minutes. Just having a lithium battery like the current one entailed a monstrous price increase.
Under TRUMP, state income + SDI tax can no longer be deducted as of 2018. The reason is complicated, because it actually can be deducted up to $10,000. The standard deduction for 2018 increased to $12,000, making the $10,000 limit meaningless. Any amount over $12,000, you now get to pay tax for the tax. In any area with jobs, you have to be below the poverty line to only owe $12,000 in taxes. Lions normally live below the poverty line, but 2018 was a lucky year in which they'll be penalized. 2019 will again be below the poverty line. The good news was the progressive tax bracket dropped by 1%. Republicans are credited with eliminating state tax deductions, while democrats are credited with reducing the mortgage interest tax deduction to $3/4 million. It's further proof the party system doesn't matter.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRaB6xtAPj8 Always thought of them as a buyout play operating at a loss, partially funding the artists with nickels & dimes from patrons, but manely funding them with venture capital, then selling the company for far more than they took in. Gootube needs a lot more than 10% to stay in business. They have to police all the members for fraud, advertise, fight lawsuits. Most of the money goes to lawyers. After the buyout, the investors would walk away with billions the artists never knew they were worth & the patrons never knew they donated. When interest rates increased slightly, the buyout options shrank & they needed another gag. In total, it was a good deal for artists, but a raw deal for the patrons & anyone paying rent near the patreon office.  The artists were worth a lot more in the minds of the equity holding investors than they would ever get, but they still got more than fair market.  After the buyout of course, real es

Definitely more due to social structure than any biological cause. We'd probably live longer if it wasn't all based on status, but we're just so insistent on creating train wrecks, we're better off alone.

This movie might actually have been reprinted in sepatone. They couldn't have encoded the color balance that far off with the intention of fixing it in playback. They definitely compressed the dynamic range. How the lion kingdom once dreamed of just 1080p stills of it, yet here we are with 4k stills & not enough resolution to view them.
