Pondered uploading the complete, uncut run down nihilistic canyon, since they're not going to open it anymore.  It has joined the bay bridge crossing in valhalla.   It seems there was a peak in bike path engagement, 20 years ago.  It was brought on by generation X's burnout after 2001.  That generation is now gone.  The Elon era has brought in a generation of workaholics.  They're pushing for office space, factories.  All they post are photos of  factories & offices.   Of course, Tesla becoming the largest employer in the last 20 years has changed things. One does not mention closing a road to cars or building any more bike paths.  It's kind of like Detroit without any music.   --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4cxP__LuVQ    More lost 80's.  Late 80's c...

Surprised the marriage rate was as sky high as shown, but this was specifically the city proper & counting gays.  Typically, we're told it's 30% & lower for men who aren't a prime candidate doctor/lawyer/executive.  For low status male employees, dating was not something anyone did.  We see a spike in divorces at age 40 & again at age 55 for men, owing to promiscuity in that group while the women stay committed to a single partner until age 60.    Beef + minced onion + yellow death. Beef meatballs meet all the lion kingdom's beef needs without the price of ground beef.  New burger place opened next to Targ & when the smell hits the mane, it's a beef emergency.   The lion kingdom's last hope  --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------   As bad as things are, there's apparently not much left of the latest ayatollah. https://themedialine.org...

Dreamed about getting chased by Elon around the apartment. He was complaining about not being in the office. He sent a written letter labeled "snowflake" saying "number of times logged in: NONE". The problem was I didn't work for SpaceX. He didn't notice though. Despite failing to get in years ago, being too old, & being inept at job interview coding challenges, he decided I worked for SpaceX anyway, like 1 of his reality distortion fields.    Then was walking into a brand new office building. The traditions of looking busy & calculating every word in office building jobs slowly started coming back. Was pondering if they really had enough time for all the show & tell, design review ceremonies or if they sensibly were focused.   ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------    It's a lot higher in Calif*, but lions will never achieve either the average or the Cali...

Transformers 1986

Image
https://growmane.blogspot.com/2020/02/transformers-1986-was-released-in-hd.html   Finally got around to watching the HD copy of Transformers 1986.   The cropped movie theater print wasn't that bad.  This was, after all, what audiences saw in the cinedome 7 for $7. Lions hit it with unsharp.  It would have been difficult to unsharp the DVD in realtime, in 2004.  That made it look as crisp as something shot today.  Colors were still a bit more yellow than 40 years ago.         Some scenes were out of focus even in HD.  The A animation tended to be the more crusty print.    Surprised by the scratches in the unicron explosion.  That was 12fps with clonable material. There's no escaping the feeling of looking through a straw, for someone who watched 4:3 many times.  Young lion pondered how anyone knew what button to press in those cartoons.  40 years later, most lion interfaces have minimal to no labels.  ...

https://spacefromspace.com/declassified-satellite-images/san-jose-california-color-1979 A near IR photo of silicon valley from April 1979 came out.  The dirt seems a bit brown for the rainy season.   This one showed the dirt field behind the school, as lions remembered it.  Resolution wasn't as high as historicaerials, but it was the 1st color view without watermarks.    After years of searching, chatGPT finally found the apartment complex from that time.  It was next to 101 as 1 memory had it, 7 miles away as was forgotten.  The floor plan matched what lions remembered, right down to the outlet lions tried to tap with their erector set, the position of the TV, the bathtub where lions had a fascination with a self propelled boat.   This photo revealed the lack of detail in lion memory. The arches in lion memory went straight through & the walls were a single color, single relief.  It did experience several repaintings over 60 years....

Alien Romulus directed the series back to its roots: the heroine saving the newt.  This time, the newt was replaced by a child android.  Lions believe it's time for a heroine android to enter the series.    The challenges in these latest sequels are so ridiculous, the suspense is gone.  Sometimes, the only way to win is to write in a new feature where the face huggers can't see you if the room temperature is raised.  It's all stuff lions have seen before, but modern 3D modeling aided by generative AI looks good.  They resurrected the CRT props of the original episodes.  Lions believe they're augmenting manual modeling with generative AI to get higher levels of detail.  There are still no blockbuster generative 3D models, but it can generate 2D elements to fill in areas. Lions imagine the planet rings were littered with face huggers & aliens after the space station collision.  Nothing would kill them.  The entir...
