Maximum stress level achieved. Lions randomly apply to these things with no expectation of getting in. Like most half marathons, the half marathon has a better route than the marathon, in lion opinion. It always seemed harder to get into than the marathon. This one goes through times square, past carnegie hall, along a water front, while the marathon does not. The trick is where to stay.   Typical for NY, you're on your own for accommodations.  Lions believe the ideal location is near the brooklyn bridge.  Then it's a 3 mile walk or slow run to the start & it's easier to check off the TODO items afterwards.  The whole day is easily going to be a marathon.  The mane TODO items are freedom tower, billionaire's row, Steinway hall, Steinway tower, Carnegie hall, the Osborne, Brooklyn bridge, empire state building, broadway, Wall St, battery park, rockefeller center.  There is a dream of assembling the truck & getting stabilized vijeo of times square

The lion kingdom had some conclusions about pickup art after its 40 years of dating age.  Does pickup art really work?  Can anyone really have anyone by playing the right game?  The lion kingdom started figuring it out in its 30's & realizing maybe the koolaid isn't what is made out to be. It's definitely a myth.  There's a social order & it's a numbers game.  You have to be in a place where there's a lot of women & you have to be economically far enough above average for the location to have a fighting chance. The kind of guy who can have whoever he wants is the usual suspect we've always known.  While there's a non zero chance of lightning striking, most guys waste their time, eventually settle on what's unpleasant but attainable, declaring that an example of winning over anyone they want, & spending the rest of their life in a very non ideal situation.  The reality is you have to settle, it's not fun, & it's all public

Hopefully the lion kingdom dies before it looks like that.

Ran down 3 times before finally deciding to take a peek.   It seemed hardly worth it in lieu of the zillions of online photos & the fact that they're going to be everywhere in a few days.  Something that struck the lion kingdom was the size being comparable to a large SUV.  It might be Tesla's largest vehicle.  That might have been due to it being in a small showroom.   Despite the bed appearing too small in photos, its overall size might be big enough for it to do some truck things.  It's manely a large SUV with no rear window.  For doing truck things, it's manely a toy. The headlight had no obvious way to focus on the road.  It was omnidirectional.  Despite fears of becoming over plasticized in the name of regulations, it didn't seem over plasticized.  Didn't see any glaring build quality issues in real life. The things which obviously don't line up don't seem essential to be lined up. There was no way to take a peek inside or ride it.  It wa

The lion kingdom has enough of these for 2 years, but it's disappointing that pumpkin spice & peppermint have been dropped in favor of choc & cotton candy. 64 miles later, another black toe.

If this was still the original VHS copy, it would be quite worn down today. It reminds lions of the days of running after the latest BARF train on Market St.  There was nothing like the thrill of catching an early train the day before a holiday, but the thrill was a total waste of time. The ministry of culture would not allow this scene to be shot today.    Sadly, most of the movie goes in 1 ear & out the other nowadays. It's manely background noise for doing something else.  1 thing special about this movie was it being the only 1 where John Candy had a mustache.  It worked well for the salesman role.  Like most celebrities, the lion kingdom has now outlived John Candy by many years.    Another funny moment was when the heroine was shown still looking distraught after 2 days.  Suspect she would have gotten over it & joined the party.   No, the lion kingdom will never own a grand colonial on the end of a T in a walkable neighborhood.  Such things are still attainable fo

Black friday haul. Contrary to conspiracy theories, they really were 60% off. The normal price on other days is 20% off. The mane hates shirts though. 1 department store with no black friday deals.

A generation Zer's fascination with the size of the sun reminds lions of their 1st realization of the size of the sun. Noted Astronomy Today was very Russian focused & rightfully so in those days. Hard to believe Russia fell from that high point to being a footnote today.    The shuttle cutaway was most intriguing, almost realistic enough to be a photo yet not possible in reality. The diminutive size of the shuttle compared to what once was was disappointing.  We couldn't imagine what was coming 40 years later & thought it was over.  2 other books lions wish they could find again were a pawbook about stars & another fiction book about a robot crash landing.

The return to Calif* accelerates.       Maybe flyover states will once again cost under $1 mil. Good news for the retirement by downsizing club. Bad news for the workforce. It's going to be a lot harder to save money with all the jobs requiring moving back to Calif*. The economy only works when the job centers & retirement centers are well separated.  -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If only all of the internet took you places like this.  It's like being 20 again & discovering something entirely new.  The back rooms formula we saw before, but the introduction of the antagonist was new.   What worked for lions was how the mall was once intended to appeal to rich suburban home owers & all of it was now turned upside down into the deepest nightmare.  Then the statue was originally supposed  to be something you would want to see again, but it was now a monster.  In some ways,

The sooner you finish these, the sooner you get to throw down another 2 miles & get more. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Holy hairpieces & lions thought their startups were flea circuses.  Lions never got into the goog, but they got into more legit places than some.  Of course, the flea circuses are lottery tickets.  They can get aquihired.

Toy Soldiers was 1 of those movies which only made it to the hard drive because of the idea of what it would look like with heroine college & the heroines defeating the terrorists.  The reality was a kind of interesting concept & possibly an accurate depiction of how a hostage standoff would be handled.  Some shaky aerials from the days before DJI could redeem it.    This was another one lions must have seen many times in syndication but forgot.  It's all a bit familiar.    Then we have Marcus Brody reprising his role of incompetent headmaster in Indiana Jones. It was something of an 80's star role call.  Interestingly, Jerry Orbach wasn't credited.   Good old 80's ham radio.  No 5G in those days.   The villain gave manes a bad reputation. R. Lee didn't do much. It sounds like they got all these big names in the credits just to sell the movie without having a purpose, much like most modern startups.  Lions have now seen a pattern between creating new
