The lion kingdom thought its chest pain after vaccinations was traditional heartburn from food or river water & exercised as usual.  Only after the 1st vaccine was it so bad, the runs had to be slower.  Years after the vaccines, the chest pain is long gone.  It wasn't correlated with a booster but all 3 of them. Surprising how wrong something as benign as mRNA can go, but the danger of ME CFS was greater than the risk of a heart attack.

64.6 miles in 7 days complete.  The leash really kicked up the mileage.  The mane problem vexing lions is attaining the multiple 20+ mile efforts required to prepare for another marathon+ race.  --------------------------------------------------------- One can't screencap Planes Trains without screencapping the Home Alone house again.  The trick with colonials is they're really cramped inside.  They might be cozy if they're shared with a large Indian family & everyone gets along.  All the houses of lion childhood had large 2 story living rooms.  This seemed to be an old man preference right until his last house.  The zillows say the Home Alone house was built in 1920, undoubtedly from the car manufacturing boom.  It escaped 100 years of property tax inflation & was still being assessed at $200k.  No mention of its value in 1989.  It's within walking distance of a town of sorts, but a toothbrush for under $10 like the one depicted would have entailed a 7 mile ru

Emperor toeatine is dead ------------------------------------------------------------------------- The internet loves the wide open spaces of vintage airplanes, but the fact is they needed those open spaces because the only entertainment was a single low definition movie screen.  Modern airplanes have more HD movies on board than you'll ever see in your lifetime.   They also had a lot less overhead storage because they didn't have to pay for checked baggage.  As far as whether they traveled with more or less junk than today, most of the stuff in those days has been replaced by a phone so animals should intuitively be traveling lighter.  No-one travels with big old cameras, lenses, CD collections, tape collections like they used to. Between all the formerly checked baggage now fitting in the cabin & all the entertainment being in the seat, modern airplanes are cocoons. Maybe it would be cheaper if checked baggage didn't have a fee & there was less storage in the ca

Rapidly approaching all time highs in stonks & interest rates with all time lows in quantitative easing.  The 90's style boom in stonks & interest rates is happening again, after analysts just months ago were predicting a summer like 2022.  There isn't a definite reason for it like dot coms.  Some call it an AI boom.  Lions call it the Dave Ramsey boom.  -----------------------------------------------------------------   Didn't feel the magic out there. Kept hitting the up arrow only to immediately have to down arrow it. 800m repeats might have slowed down the lion.
https://www.sfgate.com/news/article/family-died-rockies-trying-live-off-grid-18261784.php   The internet takes another one.   This one only made it to 42 through a combination of doomer news reporting, off grid gootubers, & a severe winter.  Obviously it was another donner party story but what intrigues lions is how unprepared they were.   Even those of us enamored with My side of the mountain already figured out at a young age that off grid survival requires planting more than 5 acres of land, building storage, building shelter, chopping firewood, making a lot of stuff, & still buying a lot of stuff.  Surely someone caught up in doom vijeos would have also watched off grid vijeos showing the preparation involved.  In reality, they never had anything but prepared food.  Maybe they thought the tent cities in Calif* were off grid & equated that with living in the mountains.  You definitely can't survive off grid in a homeless tent.  It makes a lion wonder what they did

This run was long overdue.  Lions can't afford anything up there.  ------------------------------------------ https://www.cnn.com/2023/07/26/entertainment/sinead-oconnor-death/index.html   Drugs take another one at 56.  A sad day when a lesbian dies.  Lions believe the greek amazons were lesbians.    ---------------------------------------------

Love & Monsters was light & unsuspenseful.  The monsters were more loveable than terrifying, yet still were out to get the humans for some reason.  You'd think such goofy monsters would try to have a dialog with the humans before eating them, but they just act like how generation Z must perceive generation X, mindless animals. The visuals have  a common theme of civilization turned back into wilderness again & monsters converting the wilderness into giant versions of familiar animal structures, beehives, ant hills.   There's a long, goofy scene of our hero getting emotional support out of a robot with a dead battery who shows a picture of a hottie.  There's a moment where lions try to figure out who the hottie is, but remember generation X is the parents of generation Z.  Like all modern movies, it's all dead end scenes.  The robot just dies.  The guide character just walks away.  The love interest walks away instead of coming back to him.  The good monster

https://losangelestheatres.blogspot.com/2017/02/chinese-booth.html?lr=1        Lions can't believe the digital IMAX process is so inferior, it's affordable to build a temporary booth for an emulsion run.  The fact is it's all digital in its intermediate form.  The special effects are all rendered in 8 bit jpeg format, converted from RGB to YUV to RGB.     Like all hollywood blog posts, the pictures look like they came from a 2006 flip phone.  It's always been fascinating how animals who live & work near Hollywood don't have any cameras or they have the cheapest thing from 20 years ago.  No-one in showbiz wants anything to do with their own dog food. The last IMAX movies lions watched in theater were Top Gun & Apollo 11.  It's a once in a multi year event. The picture quality really dropped when the 1st digital projector arrived.  The internet says that was a 2k projector.  Those were big pixels.  The 2nd "laser" projector eliminated all sign
It actually might be cheaper to buy 2 houses in utterly intolerable climates, then live in each for half the year.  Rust belt in summer & south Texas in winter might be the smartest move, nowadays. It's a bit labor intensive, but it's such a popular arrangement, there's obviously a big economic incentive compared to living in a perfect year round climate like Calif*.   The anecdotes about seasonal death valley & Fl*rida residents are abundant.  The big question is who manetains the house during the 6 uninhabited months.  Does it entail frequent travel to keep the elements from gaining a foothold?

Amazingly, Jesus Heroine continued working after age 45, hopping between small government consulting firms.  She was the leading candidate for early retirement from rental income.  Lions figured she got a cush job from a studmuffin or would get into Lockheed or Northrop Grumman, but she just hopped to another mom & pop firm.   Trophy wife stayed in Calif* & hopped between mom & pop venture capital firms, surprisingly.  She was the leading candidate to move.  Neither of them got into the traditional giant corporations that the high & mighty got into.  Supreme leader of blond hotties stayed at Chevron.  Cisco snob hopped to Jupiter after spending 3 years as a housewife.  Mane Tuft swung for a biotech startup CEO.  IGN hottie married a lawyer.  Ego Monger married a traditional software startup CEO.  Sempre hottie married a real estate startup CEO.  Definitely the dream, but not 8 figure home runs.  Conspicuously absent were any doctors. Hardware heroine remaned the only on

The bull market rages on despite continued quantitative tightening.   With the bull market at full power, it feels like the 90's again with interest rates & stonks rising in parallel.  When that bull market ended, it had risen 300%.  The crash of 2000 only rewound it back to 200%.  Unlike the 90's, the fed will not keep raising to keep the economy from overheating. The twin heads of the 2 headed economy are at full power & the government doesn't have a precise enough instrument to manage it.  Air fares are plummeting while housing is setting new records, yielding an average inflation of 0.    The theory that stonks would follow quantitative easing was not followed, but it's still the short term.

Condescending irish accents.  Surprised this one got 300k views & how many irish accents there are in Cambridge.

10 years after the lion kingdom's last infiltration of the coveted sunol ridge, a path was finally opened to the public on the south side.  There are still 2 off limits boxes on the north side.     The coveted niles canyon overlook remanes inaccessible, but public access is much closer.  It's separated by a fence. The amount of open space in Calif* is far beyond Fl*rida, despite being the highest population density.  1 reason is the amount of uninhabitable mountains while Fl*rida is all flat.  There are absolutely no trail networks in Fl*rida as vast as what's in Calif*.

Found some listings under $200k.  This place must be a true disaster to be this low at today's interest rates.  5% is warp speed stimulus compared to the 8% we had 20 years ago.  The more walkable areas are the cheap ones, but all require demolition.  Lions would just be paying for the land & have to build, the same as Fl*rida.  The multi million dollar houses are in the outskirts.     $200k gets a nice brick one in a walkable neighborhood.  Property tax is 1%.  Fl*rida property tax is 3%. Brutal winters & mosquitos in summer.   It's another place for sheltering in place, like Oregon & Canadia. The mane plus is being near water. livingpianos.com moved from Calif* to Cincinnati, which is notorious for crime.  Robert Estrin doesn't exactly go outside.
