Lion ponderings

 Dreamed the crazy guy was alive & well.  You'd never guess he was ever on his way out.  It was another case of him overreacting to an illness.  Can't remember what we were doing.  Perhaps we were in another trade show or buying something.  The lion kingdom was grateful for giving his death a low chance of being real.   Then woke up back in the apartment staring at a clock saying 6am.  The dream was so real, there was a moment of wondering how the lion kingdom got back in the apartment from the trade show.  Then it became most likely again that TCG really was dead, but maybe the dream was a prediction of the future.  There was no email. -------------------------------------------------------------- Then dreamed about the old man in a past mental state.  He was ebullient & shopping for a laptop in a store for the lion kingdom.  He was making a big deal about support for some obscure HDTV standard.  --------------------------------------------------------------------- Fin

  Meanwhile, over at blocker & broad, all lions can think of is Space Ocean's attempt to make a living off starship.  He wasn't as easy on the eyes as kirshshshhssh, eventually got a job hauling garbage or something, & his last starship vijeo was 2 months ago.  He moved to Iowa.  Strange how animals get into a state of mind where they can't make money by any means. Social pressure on women is different though.  Most of the women on twitter don't have to work.  It might be easier to think working isn't option if that's all you see, the same way being a famous scientist seems unattainable unless you're from India.   Lions once had to make money by any means possible.  It wasn't easy.  The trial by fire only lasted a few months.  There was never again another struggle like that.  The standard path for other animals was a lot easier.  Most animals got placed into jobs before they graduated & never had a struggle phase.                     

 Dreamed about living in a large house on a lot of forested land in Calif*, where the homeless situation was particularly acute. Knew there were homeless living in the forest but not where.  Pondered the chances of the house getting broken into. At some point, the homeless either snuck in or were let in & were around the house.  Some of them were world class 20 year old hotties.  Was making love to them & felt how strong they were.  There was also a 20 year old guy with a mane.  Then was faced with a need to get them out of the house again.  The parents were still living there & were waking up.  ------------------------------------------------------------------------- The limiting factor on the lion kingdom's career is going to be the parent's longevity.  When they die or when they can't take care of the property anymore, they're going to sell the entirety of it to someone else or sell their portion to the lion kingdom.  That's going to happen in the nex

  Mane hijacked the truck

 The crazy guy wasn't crazy, just financially challenged & hoping the lion kingdom would attain a level of wealth that would eventually support the life he wanted.  You never know if a starving college student is going to be the next Bill Gates & keep you in mind.    The lion kingdom's career & wealth went nowhere for the next 25 years, but CG always pinged with another sure thing that would pay off after investing a few years of free labor & more importantly get him out of whatever situation he was in.  This was always followed by he's going to make a proposal & he knew a venture capitalist in exchange for just a few years of free labor.  2 years later, the cycle repeated.  It never sounded like he did a lot.  He always said he was working on another project & then nothing would materialize.  Sure things & proposals would quickly evolve to skiing or links to politics.  The only 2 outputs lions can identify from those 25 years were a web page try

 Another dream about making love to an imaginary hottie, squeezing every part of her body, working from the bottom up.  They're now 30 years younger than lions.     ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Trump sitting out this election would give republicans a non zero chance of winning. Democrats would be better off not arresting Trump, letting him run, so republicans would have no chance of winning.  The lion kingdom believes there's 1 stereotypical, middle aged hottie housewife in the rich neighborhood who always exercises during the same time, at least 1 day a week.  Very classic trophy wife, 6ft tall, supermodel body, married to a breadwinner, lives in a $3 mil house, probably works as a secretary to pay for the pool cleaning.  Most of that neighborhood houses Indian renters, like everywhere else.  Their white landlords left for Austin years ago.  There are still a few gaudy black SUV's & mercedeses in the corner view houses.  In line houses with no view are Indian renters.

 The dream came back of being back in school, reaching the end of a semester having never shown up for an english class, & feeling like it didn't matter because the lion kingdom was close enough to retiring.  Lions pondered who still looked at a college transcript after 50 as they walked out of a cafe with some engineering class. -------------------------------------------------- It's the tri valley in August.  A squirrel with a severed spine probably doesn't know the gravity of its situation, only that it's harder to get around than it used to be.  It's entire rear half seemed to have been crushed.  The sight of it still fighting to cross the sidewalk despite half its body being crushed reminded lions why they don't become vets.   Makes a lion wonder why cars don't finish the job or whether a portable way to euthanize terminally ill squirrels is possible. Carrying a gun everywhere would be illegal in Calif*.  With its digestive system gone, it probably had a very short time left & might have gotten run over right before the lion kingdom got there. It conveyed a sense of being accustomed to running with its hind quarters crushed, but it really might have been taking its last few instinctive steps after getting run over. Without contacts, the lion kingdom wondered why it was moving so slowly. This capped off a string of dead squirrel sightings.  A dead fetus in the gol

After 1 tube replacement in 2020 & an unknown electrical failure in 2023, the mighty 580 EX II had served for 15 years.  Given the number of articulations done over 15 years, the most likely failure was 1 of the many tiny wires connecting the moving parts. Noted the mane discharging pad was 5V instead of 330V  while a pink wire bypassing the mane capacitor was 330V.  A wire connecting those 2 might have perished.  Lions had a huge investment in that, with the external power supply, $36 of replacement tubes, the wireless conversion, on top of its original $500 tag.  Like most high end gear, it was really problematic compared to simpler, cheaper gear.  There were the hot shoe glitches, the balky user interface, the replacement tubes. This was the 1st time lions couldn't justify the time required to fix it.  There might be a time in the future, but it would entail the EOS RP being a brick for many months.   Given the state of DSLR gear, it's not worth buying a $500 OEM flash

 Holy hairpieces, there are a lot of CAD programs nowadays.  There are a lot more CAD programs than vijeo editors.  It's surprising because the algorithms behind booleans, transforming between 2D & 3D coordinates, beveling are a lot more complex than vijeo editors.  CAD modeling drove development of confusers for many years.  That was the killer app in the 80's.  Everything made today started life as a CAD model.  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Steinway tower is somewhat of an enigma.  It was built behind the legendary Steinway hall.  It wasn't built on top of Steinway hall.  There aren't exactly any vijeos or photos.     Casey made a vijeo of the construction.   The best context photo lions can find is the streetview.  The current generation just doesn't care.
