15 deg cooler, proper glucose supplements, & things went a bit better than 6 days ago.  If only it could have been due to training. The mounting tendinitis of old age definitely makes it like pushing on a string.  It's causing earlier onset of sciatica.  Started stretching the offending tendon after 6 months for shits & giggles.  They traditionally don't recommend stretching a hamstring tendon.  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The current prime demographic is going to outlive the lion kingdom.  It's surprising to find Alanis Morisette is going to outlive the lion kingdom.  Let that sink in. Got some recommendations about parent vs kid wealth & boomers vs genX again.   Gootubers are pessamistic about gen X because #1 engagement but also because the only ones currently online came from the top of the baby boomer wealth.  Chances are they're not doing as well as the top ...

Finally upgrading the resource window, it became clear that young lion once envisioned storing assets & clips in different bins, which the user could create.  It was to be a complete filesystem of assets, clips & bins inside the EDL.  A lot of dead code handles folders.  Over 30 years, lions never had a need for such a feature & forgot it was ever started.  The most convenient way to create clips & bins ended up being to create nested EDL files in the native filesystem.  Lions use that all the time.  It would have to be a pretty big project to subdivide the assets into different folders in the current EDL.  There was also a complicated mechanism of referencing all the EDL objects from fixed listbox tables & then further referencing a subset of items in the fixed tables from the current listbox.  There was a lot of room for dangling pointers, race conditions, & memory leaks. It was intended for fast navigation between ...

Who knew SC had higher income tax below $40k than Calif* & SC has higher sales tax than Calif* did 30 years ago.  Lions are dropping to 8% before they leave Calif*.  They already dropped into lower social security tax brackets.  A lion would be better off renting in Palm Springs than a great many other states.  Also, if there were no parents, the entire country was on the table & finances weren't as tight, lions still ponder if they would move to FL.  Influencers seem happy in the rainy northwest, but lions aren't convinced it's real.  Dave Plummer is an indoor guy with 12000 sq ft.  Ray Delahanty travels more often than he's in Portland.  Happy on Monday &  Ms Gen Xodus are definitely indoor women.  Lions were indoor animals 40 years ago. The rainy northwest might have worked for 10 year old lions & created a lot of warm fuzzy memories, but there's no going back.  Lions have to bring back food & ex...

Pondered uploading the complete, uncut run down nihilistic canyon, since they're not going to open it anymore.  It has joined the bay bridge crossing in valhalla.   It seems there was a peak in bike path engagement, 20 years ago.  It was brought on by generation X's burnout after 2001.  That generation is now gone.  The Elon era has brought in a generation of workaholics.  They're pushing for office space, factories.  All they post are photos of  factories & offices.   Of course, Tesla becoming the largest employer in the last 20 years has changed things. One does not mention closing a road to cars or building any more bike paths.  It's kind of like Detroit without any music.   --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4cxP__LuVQ    More lost 80's.  Late 80's c...

Watching Hollow Man, manely at 2x, lions constantly pondered why they didn't always use their goggles & surveillance cameras to get the guy.  It was a leap in 3D animation for the time.  Back then, it was all about hitting a record in polygon count.  Now, polygon count isn't a factor anymore & it's all about labor. Jay Leno on TV at night while our man is sitting at his PC, big CRT TV's, Porsche 911's, the biotech revolution, the lack of cell phones, the go fever of startup employees, really brought back that era.       Generation X was shown at its peak.  Lions like others have started to notice generation X looking a lot younger in those days than generation Z at the same age. Have definitely noticed how much generation Z women resembled daddy at a young age, while generation X didn't resemble their parents until their 40's.   Lions found the bitchy red head the hottest, though they're now all too young to turn lions on.  She ...

Being back at 2g of vitamin C every morning, as well as slowing down the cadence made a slight improvement.  It became possible to run every day at 11min/mile & slower without cumulative tendinitis.  It wasn't a slam dunk.  9 minute miles & 180 steps/minute seem to be permanently out of reach.  The pungent smell of soy beans returned.  Spring valley tablets are made in China, probably from soy beans.  Fortunately, the summer heat makes higher speeds impractical regardless of age.   The philosophy was to try to get supercompensation from speed work, but after 6 months of various speeds & number of intervals, every combination only reduced speeds in the long term.  Lions may have run their last 6 minute pace.  There definitely needs to be an extended time before the next race in which no intervals will be run. Effects of aging were most unexpected.  Instead of muscle atrophy, heart attacks, or arthritis, the problem ...
