Had one of these 35 years ago. Mom got it during hard economic times. Listened to it every summer day while learning to program, until the NiCD battery died in the early afternoon. Radio in those days actually didn't play the same song every 45 minutes.  The sounds from that radio are the reason lions think of early computer graphics every time they hear early 80's music. The battery died earlier & earlier over time. After 1-2 summers, the audio IC burned out. The lion kingdom resorted to a clock radio which didn't sound as good. Those audio IC's have a finite life, like most audio amplifiers. Mom took it to a repair shop, but they were clueless. There was no Louis Rossman, in those days. Today, we know the audio IC as a ta7613ap which can still be bought for more than the cost of the radio. A radio chip with only a single audio channel is unimaginable, today. The innards are exactly as they were during the daily battery change. The lion kingdom scraped away

The lion kingdom thought the rise of skywalker was decent, manely because it had lots of heroine jedi footage. Heroine Jedi flew Luke's X wing. Chewbacca didn't do anything. The band of merry men was too big for all the characters to get screen time. There were some decent visuals. Palpatine had a nifty machine reanimating his corpse.
The lion kingdom was surprised that the only way to detect coronavirus was good old PCR, rather than antibodies or some chemical marker. They 1st reverse transcribe the RNA into DNA, then amplify the DNA using PCR. The most brute force method is to then shatter the DNA with an enzyme that binds common sequences & separate the fragments on a gel. The virus delivers a common set of fragments of common weights. They might also have markers which bind specific DNA sequences. The media doesn't say. The media is too busy promoting Joe Biden. It's the same operation used to detect DNA in a crime scene, a very expensive brute force test when nothing else works. Lions probably did it as part of a lab course in their biology days. US has the most cases partly because it has the most testing capability. It took a while to ramp up, but the private sector ended up delivering more than any other government in the world. There are new tests which take only 5 minutes, still based on

The child safety on these 33 cent lighters is a purely evil outer ring that spins freely. Only the inner ring strikes the arc & it was made into a narrow knife. Target stopped selling lighters, leaving only these cheap ones. Also, the cheap ones famously don't always extinguish, so you can't put them in your pocket or on any flammable surface.

Really disappointing that the reworked version of Legend cut out scenes showing the bombs outside his house, how he covered his path with disinfectant, the generators, & the Vermont colony. The generator scene was real important to get a real sense of how isolated he was. There are 3 Honda EU3000 3kW generators powering the house, theoretically in phase. They would run out of gas real fast if they put out 9kW. Officially, only 2 Honda generators can be  connected in parallel & they require using different outlets than the ones shown. There was a lot of investment in the colony scene. The reworked version never revealed if there was really a colony, so it traded a sad ending for different sad ending. Unfortunately, the original version cut out his relationship with the mexican hottie. She only briefly showed up, then it was already dark & time to wrap up. The original was definitely sadder in that way. For some reason, lions thought he lived in an isolate
