After day dreaming about the Palo Alto dream home,  It was a wet one, 1/2 mile away.  $5 million doesn't buy what it used to.  Guess the only viable real estate is on the hills for another power of 10 in fiat money.  It was the most rain ever in a 24 hour period for many areas.  The lion kingdom got 5"-5.5".  There was a time when a mere forecast for 4" was exceptional & the forecast ended up high balling it.   There was something poignant over the billionaires trying to save their Lamborghinis from the flood.  Do any of these startup founders have any interest at all in electronicals or do they just come for the schwag. Well, old Lamborghinis are $200,000, comparable to a Tesla.  New Lamborghinis are over 1/4 mil.  That's who lives in those waterfront homes. The sketchy creek finally overflowed. It was a long time coming. Another flooded creek in the other direction.

Millennials & lions differ in their opinions of what a down housing market is.  It was only a couple years ago when lions remarked how everything was suddenly $2.5 million.  Now $3 million is a depression.  The media has a very short term memory. The lion kingdom noted a $1.7 mil fixer upper looking exactly like Katherout's parent's house. Apparently, this was a housing development in 1956 in Palo Alto.   There's a row of them on Middlefield Rd. though the floor plan is common everywhere in Palo Alto.   One which isn't a fixer upper is $3 mil.  For that kind of money, you can just retire.  The only reason anyone is buying these is to double their money in the next boom.  These are by no means practical forms of housing. In 1956, the largest employer was HP.  These would have been homes of middle managers in HP.  Today, they would represent the starting point of single family homes. Depressing how the former home of the HP family was left to fall apart by speculato

Robotech: The Movie was a strange recommendation of the goog's.   This is not to be confused with the Robotech special in 1986 which was an extended clip episode.   The robotech special might have been an extended edit of episode 14 Gloval's report.  It aired on a Saturday when season 1 was still having its 1st showing, but this conflicts with the memory of it airing in 1986.  It only exists in lion memory since there are no goog results for it. The movie is some kind of ambiguous reconstruction based on HD blue ray footage of different shows & low definition DVD footage of season 2.  Part of the confusion is what generation X calls blue ray is what millennials call a DVD.  The footage was actually reused in many other shows.  Reusing footage in different shows was uniquely japanese. The mcguffin was what would be considered an unrideable bike in reality, but what makes for a decent visual. This is the shot from season 2 which resembles the modern starship factory.  They w

Finally finished Midsommar after Adam Savage recommended it, manely to see Florence Pugh's strong, dominant, 25 year old, stocky, hottie body for 3 hours.   What lions gleamed is the swedish hippie convent is a place where retribution is enacted on various forms on sinners, through a higher power that knows all.  Having said that, it's pretty germane for the sinners in a movie to die off while the righteous live.  All the men had adultery problems, especially the boyfriend.  Apparently, seeking prostitutes was a sin for the single men while the boyfriend was trying to get away from Pugh's strong, dominant, 25 year old, stocky, hottie body. There's an implication of zombies but they're all men who were systematically drugged.  The supernatural events were all in their heads.  The only supernatural power is how the tribe knows who is good & who is evil. The men are tempted with secret documents they're not allowed to photograph, sex with prostitutes, & dr
