The mounting tendinitis of old age definitely makes it like pushing on a string.  It's causing earlier onset of sciatica.  Started stretching the offending tendon after 6 months for shits & giggles.  They traditionally don't recommend stretching a hamstring tendon.

Got some recommendations about parent vs kid wealth & boomers vs genX again.   Gootubers are pessamistic about gen X because #1 engagement but also because the only ones currently online came from the top of the baby boomer wealth.  Chances are they're not doing as well as the top 10% of boomers.  Most of the baby boomers were poorer than genX.

Whether lions are better off than their parents requires comparing 1 income to 1.3 incomes & adjusting for age, stonk market vagaries, 2 social security incomes.  Their current net worth is roughly the same as the lion kingdom.

It increased after the lion kingdom's age but nowhere near inflation.  At lion age, most of their money was in the primary residence.  It's believed they tripled it in the last 30 years.  

The official inflation calculator shows them significantly worse off at lion age while a comparison to housing inflation shows them lightyears ahead at lion age.  Downgrading to what a single income in those days would have provided, lions are way ahead, but part of it depends on the stonk market.  They absolutely had to keep working while lions aren't under the same pressure.  Housing prices are way above the cost of retirement though.



The answer is no.   Your data doesn't stay around after death.  It looks like the gootube accounts with last videos 15 years ago are tied to users which are still active elsewhere in the goog acquisitions.  The lion blog & all its uploaded videos are going to disappear eventually.  

Lions still imagine an arc being developed someday to send all the recorded data from intelligent life to another star.  Lions don't believe any other life in the universe has reached lion intelligence.  If there was any other intelligent life, it probably never got past pharaoh, roman empire or medieval stage.

   Amusing that Grok applied an IPv6 style pseudo header to the computation of an IPv4 ping packet, even though IPv4 doesn't use the pseudo header.       Another Grok error was in a basic TCP demonstrator.  To avoid a TIMED_WAIT on the server blocking the port, you have to exit the server without closing the socket.   These errors take a lot more time to track down than doing it the old way.  It might be fixed in paid versions of Grok.  Finally tracked down the Sun bootloader font from many decades ago & put it in Cinelerra as gallant12x22.  Put Sun Gallant Demi into the goog to get useful results. https://github.com/dim13/gallant/tree/master/ttf   It's a fixed point font in an archaic format.  Some guy converted it into a TTF with a lot of antialiasing.  He has a PNG image showing no antialiasing.  It has to be set to size 22 & requires a threshold to get rid of the antialiasing.  Freetype might be shifting it 1/2 pixel vertically. It had a kind of curiosity value, but lions have had no need for any fixed point fonts besides the 24pt Sony of CAEDM fame. Another hit said it was 1 of the fonts available in kernel framebuffer mode.  Lions haven't used kernel framebuffer mode in decades.  It could possibly replace 24pt Sony if lions wrote a fixed point converter.
