Surprised to find the Edison Steinway still for sale. It was last valued at $45k in 2021.

Edison bought it in 1890 & sold it in 1929.   Rachmaninoff's only Edison recordings were in 1919 on a Lauter concert grand.  Not sure why they didn't use the Edison Steinway.

A piano that Rach played would be quite valuable.

Lost HFAC photos.  Lions have become connoisseurs.

A difficulty with the chromakey is the way Avid moves the wedge point when minimum saturation is applied.  That could be done by doing an XY shift of the input color, then computing the chromakey on the shifted color with no saturation offset.

The problem is the saturation line.  A minimum saturation applied after the XY shift would be an arc with constant saturation for all hue.  To make a line, it has to go up as it approaches the hue threshold.

Then the way they apply the spill compensation isn't clear.  They don't use luma at all.  In lion minds, spill compensation should match the chroma key wedge, with its own feathering & its own intensity.  It would be 2 parameters.

In the end, the spill compensation ended up a very complicated algorithm involving finding 2 border points on the wedge, shifting the border points, & fading saturation.

Applying the saturation line & luma range to spill compensation would be quite difficult & probably useless.  It looks like all the settings weren't meant to be used at the same time & the luma range was just the author's attempt to use the same plugin as a luma key.  Luma keying should be a different plugin.
