This story from 2020 refers to annual income rather than net worth.  Most lion neighbors have over $1 million in net worth which doesn't even cover a down payment anymore.

Funny that the brief drop in rents in 2020 doesn't even show up as a blip anymore.

A Schwab study from 2017 showed what lions always knew.

A big factor might be millennials never experiencing a long term decline like previous generations did.  The decline from 1999-2010 has never been repeated.  Lions also noted a cooling in party atmosphere.  They're a more focused generation.  The party atmosphere peaked with the hippies & has been heading down ever since.

Watching the commodore 64 craze continue, it's different than the amiga craze 20 years ago.  The amigas were still being used for making music.  No-one is using their commodore 64's for anything.

The big challenge was how much of the screen could be unique graphics & how much of it could be animated.  Scrolling didn't count as animation.  Repeating graphics didn't count.

Demolition has begun

Reviewing some files, the lion kingdom probably has the most complete archive of the HFAC back rooms, as limited as it is.  Who knew in 2007 that it was going to be demolished.  Documenting the back rooms wasn't a foremost thought at the time, so we're lucky to have what exists.

The journey began at the lion den across the street.  This too was demolished but in hindsight was historic.

The commute into the back rooms.

The back rooms.  HFAC aficionados will remember which direction was east & west.

The Steinways had given way to Baldwins & Yamahas by 2007.

Some views not documented elsewhere.

Of course, the 1st time lions arrived, it was via this walkway.
