Taxes, rent, bills give April a $12,000 tag, the most lions ever burned in a single month. Taxes & inflation do that. Until 2023, lions never had any interest income. Interest was 0 for all 23 years lions made money. The interest in 2023 accounted for most of the tax bill, at a 34% rate in Calif*. Almost half the interest must be paid back in taxes, leaving only a gain of 2.5%. Paying it will entail selling a significant amount of assets. A lot of other animals are having to sell stonk to pay their taxes on interest, making the stonk market fall.

Another lap around the lake, as one does to recover from tendinitis, & the lion kingdom pondered if it resembled Ego Monger's lake.  The fact is EM doesn't have access to any lake.  Westlake village has a .3 mile path in 1 corner.  That area is a slice of the 80's.  It might be good for animals who want to spend their lives in the 80's or get rich on home equity but it's as unimproved as the times.

The lion kingdom's area was manely developed after 1990 & is still being redeveloped.  Lions tended to project their situation on every hottie, assuming they had it better when they really didn't.  Her weather might normally be perfect all year, but she got more rain in the last 2 years. Views of desert mountains are probably the same.

20 years between the lion kingdom & that bug.  A long unused feature for hacking 2 fields in a temporal codec caused very long seeks that never completely locked up enough to look like a bug.  Dead features cause a lot of problems.

 Finally watched Creepshow, 40 years after rereading the comic book many times by flashlight. The highlight visually might have been the now vintage Apple II which was cutting edge in those days. Nothing utterly terrifying.  Better writing than anything current.  Only slightly deviates from the comic book. The highlight emotionally might have been when after feeding his wife to the warewolf, the now liberated man sits down to doing anything he wants.  The big deviation was the warewolf escaping in the end, while the comic book kept him trapped underwater. The zombies might have been easier on the eyes than the single women. The original comic book is now on archive.org with a 1 hour free trial.  With a 4k monitor, all you need to do is screencap it while turning the pages.  The raw images are very high res but a 4k screencap is still higher than any animal would actually read it in.
