The lion kingdom developed eye twitching after 2020, usually after harder efforts when electrolyte depletion is common.  It got more common over the years.  Then in 2023, lions developed random crying, usually after putting in contacts but eventually long after taking contacts out. It could be  the beginning of the end of neuron  function, destined to gradually spread to every other body part, manely the paws.

The internet doesn't really know what etrade platinum is.  It's not correlated with size of the account.  It might be correlated with trading frequency or login frequency.  Lions don't trade enough to be considered worthy.

Lions are curious to know if their investments produce enough passive income to survive & what is going to be involved in surviving on passive income so they check often.  So far, they might get away with it if they moved to a cabin in Nova Scotia.  Most of the disposable passive income over the last 2 years has been interest on the national debt.  As good as the stonk market news has been, stonks have really been slightly behind treasuries in the last 2 years.

The trick with something that goes sideways most of the time & rarely pops is those are long term investments which can't be sold for a long time.  You only want to be selling stuff when it's high.  To have something which is always high, there has to be a bond position.

When the rare pops happen, some stonks have to be converted to bonds to bridge the next gap.  When the dips happen, some bonds have to be converted to stonks to keep up with inflation.  It can never be truly passive.

The dream of having a 100% stonk portfolio that directly feeds immediate needs seems impossible. There always has to be enough of a bond position to only be selling when prices are high.

Right now, the entire internet is bragging about its 100% stonk portfolios, based on performance after 2008.  Kind of like how they were all bragging about their orange savings accounts in 2004.

The big question continues.  Will they tell generation X to suck a bag of dicks & cut their benefits after 40 years of paying in or will they bail out the system like the banks?

Today's ipad update reminded the lion kingdom of feeling slightly jealous of the other airplane passengers who brought large screens for their in flight entertainment.  The thing is lions already had the largest ipad & never bothered bringing it on a plane because it just wasn't worth the hassle of bringing any more than a phone.

All new portables are chopping off ever more of the corners to emulate old CRT's.  Lions spent their childhood wishing for the day displays no longer chopped off the corners so it's disappointing to go back to those days.  They might be doing it because of the goog forcing images to be round or it might make it stronger.

Ipads are all about gaming, watching movies on airplanes, portability.  That's why they're focusing on size.  The extra mm is a big deal in coach.
