After a decline in paw fitness last week, lions could only run less than 3 miles at a time, with walking breaks.  The tendons might all be healed.  The problem might be the plantar calcaneonavicular ligament or spring ligament.  The only way to agitate it is to massage it or stand on it just perfectly.  Flexing the big toe doesn't do it like it used to.

Sadly, the free anatomy images of years ago have all been copyrighted & taken down.  The only complete model is

There was a theory the stiffness of the lunas caused an eccentric pressure so lions went to just EVA.  The EVA's are definitely more flexible.

Massaging or not massaging made no difference.  Lions are still pondering this.  A certain amount of massaging might be beneficial but not enough to tear it.

Unlike the tendon injury, the ligament is painless until after it's injured.

Finding over the years that tendons start hurting before they're injured while ligaments are painless until after they're injured. Not having the warning system makes ligaments unhealable besides the fact that most aren't regenerated. Lack of pain is normally evolved from wars. Lack of regeneration is normally evolved from cancer.

Surprised Fabio was still trying to hit it off at 62, with receeding mane.  The pendulum swings more to the wealthy as age increases.  He apparently invested wisely.  The money he made 30 years ago would be worth nothing today.
