The building where the 1st 2 computers were built was several miles east of the IBM campus in what is now a run down high school.  It must have been in the largest building.  Imagine sitting in a classroom where that once existed. 


Also noted another photo showing a gigantic 1950's air vent.  Nothing beats the giant air vents which adorned computer rooms & car dealers in the 1950's.

 What lions think is happening is index funds are earning interest on large treasury positions.  They're putting the interest into stonks to manetain a constant allocation.  It's not millennials pouring money in the stonk market expecting lower interest rates.  Anyways, the next idea was revising the GUI to get rid of the drop shadows, decorations.  The modern trend is flat colors, but the trends have to change every 6 months for these corporations to stay in business. 1 idea that looked good was an apply button in the file dialog which would allow loading files from a bunch of directories or picking 1 file at a time without closing the window.  The trick is most files require building an index.  The file dialog would have to be frozen during the load process or it would have to be locked out of loading again.  It would be a functional but unpleasant experience. The biggest win right now would be repositioning the plugins to the top when there isn't an asset.
