Lions don't normally care if billionaire houses go up in flames, but the Martini castle was special.



Some more outdated views from calfire showed the father of the bride house, martini house surviving.  Everything in yellow is gone so the Will Rogers area is gone.




Lions only covered some of the exterior of the house, during that fateful trip.  That would be depressing to return to.




5 years ago, it was climate change. Ban cheap cars. Raise CO2 taxes to pay for fire disasters. Make the homeless pay for solar roofs. Now it's Gavin. You can't win.

 Bad day for the stonk market & probably an emergency rate cut coming.  It's the wild west, no matter what.  Time for conspiracy theories about the Jimmy Carter stonk market holiday happening during the fires.


Lions only see massive amounts of money invested to protect massive amounts of money.  The government has inflated housing valuations in order to underwrite its debt.  To protect higher housing valuations, it needs to spend more on fire fighting.

"Grove giveth & Gates taketh away" could be applied to growth in search functionality over the last 30 years.  The more documentation was searchable, the more complicated tools became to fill the documentation capacity.  Now it applies to AI.  The more a tool can automatically translate natural language to large blocks of code, the more programming languages & libraries are going to grow in complexity to utilize the large language model.

 What lions think is happening is index funds are earning interest on large treasury positions.  They're putting the interest into stonks to manetain a constant allocation.  It's not millennials pouring money in the stonk market expecting lower interest rates. High interest rates are pushing up stonks like the 90's.  Millennials are taking money out of the stonk market to buy houses & pay their mortgages.  Important reminder that lions would only barely get by & be fairly unhappy if they retired now, drained their savings to buy a house, & couldn't afford a lot of things they hoped to have.  Lions don't expect to have the coordination required to play it, when the time comes.  Maybe they could just play chords.  Would definitely have to learn how to tune it & regulate it.  Don't kid yourself.  US is a 1 party system.  Unless something is drastically wrong with the 1 campaign, they always vote democrat.  Even as bad as H-Rod was, they still voted for her. Ordering renters to provide $25,000 subsidies to new home owners is basically ordering them to pay what was an entire down payment 20 years ago.  Surely if they could afford these entitlements for home owers, they would have bought houses themselves.  They formerly required the high school dropouts to pay $50,000 in student loan forgiveness to Harvard graduates.  Anyways, the next idea was revising the GUI to get rid of the drop shadows, decorations.  The modern trend is flat colors, but the trends have to change every 6 months for these corporations to stay in business. 1 idea that looked good was an apply button in the file dialog which would allow loading files from a bunch of directories or picking 1 file at a time without closing the window.  The trick is most files require building an index.  The file dialog would have to be frozen during the load process or it would have to be locked out of loading again.  It would be a functional but unpleasant experience. The biggest win right now would be repositioning the plugins to the top when there isn't an asset.
