In & of itself got enough lion attention to get viewed in 1 sitting & some of the better zingers rewatched a 2nd time.  Helas, it's an autobiography which has been spun off camera into a love letter for the democratic party.  He really did work as a crooked dealer in his 20's.  His mom was a lesbian when that wasn't a thing.  He sees republicans as the crooked poker dealers & democrats as the duped players.

The magic tricks, audience participation were amusing, but lions knew they were edited from multiple shows to look perfect.  How many of the letter readings really worked?  The show moved from LA to NY.  Lions pondered how he got the tomorrow guy to come the night after the show moved, how he started the 1st tomorrow guy & ended the last yesterday guy, how he got the letters for the 1st show.

It's all a bit melodramatic to lions who have seen the same themes for 40 years, especially in the stonk market.  Lying is fundamental animal behavior that's gotten dramatized into the art of illusion.  Animals have enormous power to believe a lie is true.  It's now used by financial advisor gootubers to make animals think about why they're not retiring sooner or working longer, how their status or their financial position is an illusion.

The movie implied he knew what identity card everyone in the audience picked. Lions pondered if the audience reacted because they were supposed to react, if he really knew through magic, or if someone watched everyone in the audience pick cards & gave him cues from off stage.  The 1st  2 minutes showed everyone picking a random card & handing it to an assistant so they could have been photographed.

Part of the gag is using very practical devices to get the audience engaged enough to believe something amazing happened if it didn't happen.  He started reminding lions of an evangelist & lions pondered how much was taken straight from evangelist shows.

Off camera, he revealed the card tricks were based on pulling the bottom card instead of the top card & swapping decks.  The blindfolded shuffling most definitely involved swapping decks.

Lions pondered if anyone from his crooked dealer days came after him.  Even if his dealer name wasn't really Cody, someone could recognize him after he got famous.  It kind of created more questions than it answered.

It was a good match for Hulu, being the streaming service named after Hudini.  The streaming services have become the equivalent of TV channels.  Hulu makes magic shows.  Apple makes technology shows.  Amazon makes book shows.  Disney makes kid shows.  Netflix makes flicks.

Speaking of Apple TV, Manley Scott got hired in the dot com boom to work on streaming media, probably at the same time as the lion kingdom.  Creating streaming server software was a hobby he picked up while trying to stream live DJing online.  He was not hired because of his masters degree.  Then his startup got acquired by Apple.  He's probably in the Apple TV group now, in some aspect of streaming technology.

Lions could use some DJ skills in soundtracking their videos.  How they blend & time songs was always a mystery.
