The lion kingdom was surprised that the Manly Scott doesn't live in the Oakland hills but a sprawling mansion in Fairfax.  Normally people move east as they get older & he formerly rented in Alameda until his 40's.  He bought it for $1.8 million in 2019 & now it's $2.6 million.  It's such a large house, it's easy to find.  You'd think if he wanted to live in Marin county & had such wealth, he would have moved to Lucas Valley as a Star Wars fan.

Even though George Lucas insisted the naming had no relation to his decision to live there, the lion kingdom believes it did.  The ambiance of the Lucas valley canyon is very reminiscent of the Naboo lake country.

Lions couldn't imagine a life of making dumbed down vijeos, combining stock footage, telling people what they want to hear, just for money from the gootube audience, but maybe it's easier when they're making enough to afford a $2 million house.  Most of the money from rocket science is not made from building the rockets but documenting the building of the rockets.

The goo tube stars lions are aware of are all very wealthy rather than the traditional stereotype of someone who makes vijeos because they need the money.  These guys definitely don't need the money from their vijeos to survive, though they live more lavishly because of it.  They all own high end houses.  They manely live in Calif*.

The lion kingdom once dreamed of owning a sprawling $2 million house.  Today, 20 years later, that neighborhood is $3-4 million.  The property tax alone would cover the lion kingdom's rent. The HOA fees & insurance surely cover more rent.  When property tax is higher than rent, you're purely betting on appreciation.

In hindsight, there was the practical problem of being on the east side of a hill.  It got sunrises, but the days were short.  They wouldn't get much use from their pools.  The cost of manetaining & air conditioning the place would be shocking.

Lions once lived on the west side of a mountain.  The mornings were long & brutally cold, but the days were long.
