Yes, the lion kingdom feels sorry for that kid.  A number of purchases have been deferred to avoid going into the county which requires masks.




19 minutes at 7m15s/mile regained. Doing a small amount of fast running every day & taking 2g of vitamin C before exercise seem to make the difference. The lion kingdom used to sprint during its commute.



ATMega328 joins the jetson nano in heaven. It feels a lot like 2001, before there were any microcontrollers & the lion kingdom was just starting to design hardware.


1 week after the macbook was retired, the lion kingdom still doesn't miss it. It was gradually replaced over the last 3 years until it was nothing but a file server. The biggest migration was downloading movies. A few USB extenders allowed the wifi router to replace what it was doing with ADB & serial ports.


The 1 thing lions can't replace is capturing the ipad screen. There hasn't been a need to capture the ipad screen in years. There are esoteric ways to send the ipad screen to Windows.

 Finally watched Creepshow, 40 years after rereading the comic book many times by flashlight. The highlight visually might have been the now vintage Apple II which was cutting edge in those days. Nothing utterly terrifying.  Better writing than anything current.  Only slightly deviates from the comic book. The highlight emotionally might have been when after feeding his wife to the warewolf, the now liberated man sits down to doing anything he wants.  The big deviation was the warewolf escaping in the end, while the comic book kept him trapped underwater. The zombies might have been easier on the eyes than the single women. The original comic book is now on archive.org with a 1 hour free trial.  With a 4k monitor, all you need to do is screencap it while turning the pages.  The raw images are very high res but a 4k screencap is still higher than any animal would actually read it in.
