1st run out there in years.  Nothing like bringing the mane back food & eating it at midnight after a 12 miler.

If the lion kingdom was still alive in 1985 & back on a commodore 64 with no tools, it would just focus on writing an assembler, text editor, & calculator in BASIC.  That's the beginning of everything else, but the knowledge to get there didn't exist until 2002.

The trigonometry required to draw arcs & boolean algebra required to convert between hex & dec was still a long way off.

The lion kingdom did not know of the existence of drafting machines.  There would also be a straight edge on cables which moved up & down the table, allowing the drafting machine to be constrained to X or Y movement.  Men lived out their lives sitting at their drafting machines.  It's kind of to the apollo generation what the standing desk is to the modern generation.

This method of designing is totally foreign to an animal who started out only using CAD software.  So many trig functions had to be solved manually which the confuser does automatically.

Modern drafting machines are still being made, for a lot of money.  They're XY gantries which aren't as precise.  They might be intended for less precise applications like drawing sewing patterns.  It's still very expensive to create life size drawings suitable for tracing on a building material.
