The last of the filing cabinets arrived, at which time the lion kingdom discovered they're $300 & off branded ones are $140.  1 of the 3 is supposed to have a 3rd wheel in front for the bottom drawer.  The other 2 don't have 3rd wheel positions so maybe it's not critical.  The implication is they'll want to fall over when the bottom drawer is out.

Pre inflation prices aren't given but probably 1/2.

There are also square ones which can be stacked on top of.  The rounded ones don't have a useful space on top.

The downside to moving from cardboard boxes to all this storage is the thing that stores the stuff isn't the same thing that moves the stuff.  They're extra containers to move.  The upside is they're more flame proof & easier to access.

The lion kingdom had deduced there was enough room for 3.

Most of the storage space is notepads from the last years of college which will never be used again & empty CD cases.  There was a belief for several years that employment was going to be short lived & lions would need those notes to go back to school.  That's never going to happen, even if lion net worth goes to 0.  Nothing in this container is ever intended to be used again.

The tower of terror is complete.  Whatever cardboard boxes get transferred to the newly freed case are going to be a lot harder to access in the case.  There is a mane's outlet behind the filing cabinets, but it would entail kicking the tripods out.  A shelf would have made it easier to access a lot of stuff, but been less efficient.

As imperfect as it is, it's better than the old lion's 40 year old oak desk.  Most animals die with whatever furniture was current when they were 20.  Generation X still lives in the world of 1997.  By being poor, lions managed to live in the world of 2019.
