For some reason, they disable the HUD view right before landing. 200 in flight enternainment units playing independent HD video are an incredible amount of data. It's surely all served from a single point. Still, even basic economy is lightyears beyond what we had 30 years ago. Movies make the trip go by fast & a full size laptop is too big, but lions would seriously consider a head mounted display laptop for frequent travel. Maybe I do, A man called Otto had similarly intriguing developments followed by flat endings.

Back in Calif*.

Gator invasion.

The mighty St Augustine lighthouse.

Long way up.  Not as easy as it looks for animals who fear heights.  After a false start, the lion kingdom finally navigated it by looking at the wall.

But the real action is looking down.  The stairs moved when other animals were climbing.  Eventually, you gpt used to it.

The door opened to the south.  Excitement guaranteed.  After a few attempts, the lion kingdom managed to creep around the observation point.  There's nothing to grab onto but the paw rail on the outside.  The inside wall is a slick stick.  The floor is angled out to drain water.  The wind constantly blows.

Looking north

 Looking south

The only shot looking west.  The west view was quite industrialized.

The lion kingdom didn't once look up from this point, but would have seen the glass windows of the light room, the giant fresnel lens, & the roof.  There was no way in the glass room.  Another lost shot was looking straight down.

The lighthouse is officially 165ft while the golden gate bridge is 220ft above high tide, so nowhere close.  The edge of the bridge is inaccessible though.

Running in FL* is a gnarly experience.  You have to run early in the morning before the afternoon rain & heat get started.  Rain usually continues into the night.  The days of eating while walking would be over.

Currently, it's not possible to run between downtown & the 5 acre failure in sandals.  The 2 lane road has a lot of 60mph traffic at 7am.  Kids stand around in their driveways but can't go anywhere.  You have to run on the left & dodge traffic.  For short periods, you can run on the pavement & it's oh so good.

Much running is in steep, wet grass.  The sandals get wet & slide off.  It would take trail shoes or significant sandal modification for running in grass & getting wet.  Hokas with injinjis could do it.  2 curves with steep sides & no visibility should be avoided.  There's another street which bypasses the curves.

The grass is on rough dirt.  It would take a robot with large tires to traverse it.  Lions envisioned a big carrier robot in which a smaller robot would fit. The smaller robot would go in stores & the big carrier would transport it in the grass.  A tracked system for the carrier robot is still on the table.

The tracks could go in front & behind & turn for steering.  This would keep it narrow enough.

Unlike past fears, a lion would not need a tracked system for running on the grass.  Speed work would have to be done on a university track.

Instead of all that investment to make the 2 lane road accessible, there's also driving to downtown & running on the sidewalks.  Of course, driving before the rain is subject to rush hour traffic.

What a luxury those housing developments are for animals living on the country roads.

Despite very little running, lions ended that trip 5 lbs lighter.  Either the lack of running reduced hydration or the high protein diet took out a lot of water.  The typical lion diet is high carb, high sugar because of lack of money.  It was most surprising that rich BBQ food actually caused weight loss.  High carbs & sugar are just that bad.
