Owning the car the astronauts ride to the launchpad is a big deal, but lions can also put $100,000 in a mutual fund & get $5000 interest.

We're lucky to be in a time when it's possible to vicariously experience a $100,000 car instead of having to buy one. 40 years ago, the closest a lion could get to a Toyota MR-2 were fuzzy TV commercials & half tone magazine photos.

Lions still remember the 1st time they had $20,000 & pondered how the whole year would be covered if only they didn't have to pay either rent, debt, or some tax obligation.  The exact liability is lost to time.
