Amazingly, Jesus Heroine continued working after age 45, hopping between small government consulting firms.  She was the leading candidate for early retirement from rental income.  Lions figured she got a cush job from a studmuffin or would get into Lockheed or Northrop Grumman, but she just hopped to another mom & pop firm.

 

Trophy wife stayed in Calif* & hopped between mom & pop venture capital firms, surprisingly.  She was the leading candidate to move.  Neither of them got into the traditional giant corporations that the high & mighty got into. 

Supreme leader of blond hotties stayed at Chevron.  Cisco snob hopped to Jupiter after spending 3 years as a housewife. 

Mane Tuft swung for a biotech startup CEO.  IGN hottie married a lawyer.  Ego Monger married a traditional software startup CEO.  Sempre hottie married a real estate startup CEO.  Definitely the dream, but not 8 figure home runs.  Conspicuously absent were any doctors.


Hardware heroine remaned the only one to hit a home run, marrying a C suite executive at Microsoft & continuing onward & upward at Microsoft.  It was an 8 figure dream not unlike Dave's Garage.

It makes a lion wonder what would have happened if he hit it off with Hardware Heroine back in 2000.  While lions had more ideas than average which eventually made a lot of money for others, the mane struggle was always the business side.  Would a lion have gained knowledge from HH that would have led to a Dave Garage scenario, would a lion have ended up sacrificing his creative efforts to win the bread for a family in a conventional corporate track, would a lion have stuck with the status quo & been a manlet husband, or was HH so dependent on a man that she would have only known lion poverty? 

The middle class lifestyle of 1985 is now in the $3 million range.

Day 2 of the current heat wave didn't cool down at 5pm like day 1 did. 

The lion kingdom only had 1 night in 2022 which required waking up & spraying every hour.  It was many nights in 2020 & didn't happen at all in 2023.  Those are the most difficult conditions.  We're not going to hit 120F this year.

Lions ponder the chances of a year exceeding 2020 with multiple consecutive days above 115, indoor highs above 105, indoor lows never going below 90, & lions automatically taking their spray bottle to bed every night.  Lions seem better equipped than 2020, with better readings of outdoor temperature, more indoor air flow, swamp cooler, humidity measurement, better nozzle aiming.  Outdoor readings 4 degrees above indoor readings are enough for outdoor air to start cooling.  Lions know to aim the cold air up.

The peak indoor low in 2020 was 87 when the outdoor low was 72.  Today's cooling systems could probably get it down to 82.

 Finally watched Creepshow, 40 years after rereading the comic book many times by flashlight. The highlight visually might have been the now vintage Apple II which was cutting edge in those days. Nothing utterly terrifying.  Better writing than anything current.  Only slightly deviates from the comic book. The highlight emotionally might have been when after feeding his wife to the warewolf, the now liberated man sits down to doing anything he wants.  The big deviation was the warewolf escaping in the end, while the comic book kept him trapped underwater. The zombies might have been easier on the eyes than the single women. The original comic book is now on archive.org with a 1 hour free trial.  With a 4k monitor, all you need to do is screencap it while turning the pages.  The raw images are very high res but a 4k screencap is still higher than any animal would actually read it in.
