Major KNBR shakeup ends nightly sports call-in show after 51 years
Maybe they'll go back to Gunsmoke reruns. Lions remember a miserable day when the evening lineup switched from radio show reruns & music to sports talk shows in the early 80's, but no evening talk shows dating back to 1972. The mane antenna was in Redwood city, so of course, 1 of the 2 stations which didn't require amplification.
Lions also remember being bored. Those were the days.
KNBR last made the news in 2019 when they took over KFOG. Now KNBR is the one getting shut down.

Welcome to New Yoak
Hotel prices suddenly jumped on the monday after the lottery, so it was time. Lions are now twice the age of most of the other athletes, so that puts into perspective how much money generation Z has. They're not rich old guys yet they still spend like no tomorrow.

Lions were intrigued by the use of a more wheel-like yoke yet the wheel no longer turning more than 180deg. Cars with the original yoke turn more than 180 deg.
Then to get around the challenges of stainless steel fabrication, it has no door handles. It's going to crush a lot of fingernails.
It has no motor for the tailgate, yet has a motorized frunk.
No mention of the headlight.
Back seats fold up instead of down.
Gear shift on the roof now. Can't wait for the gear shift in the lumbar.
Then there's the usual bling. Lions suspect the bling is very cheap, yet allows them to artificially increase the price. There's nothing novel in the act of hauling things in a truck. The novelty is all features which could just have easily gone in a car.
Lions can't afford an F-150 or Rivian that he compares it to.
Despite all the fanboys on the internets, the neighbors all buy the cheapest teslas they can. It feels like they just put in the least effort required to impress others but don't give 3 shits of a fuck about Tesla in real life. Lions still doubt they're trying to save on gas, since it's customary to replace a car every 3 years.
As for whether all the fanboys really do as they say, well everyone who said they supported Elon's removal of the blocking feature still has the lion kingdom blocked.
As a lion who keeps the same car until it dies, a bottom end Tesla might make sense for a return to super commuting.

Interesting collection of analog circuits for synthesizing natural sounds with high fidelity. Lions actually weren't aware that accurately synthesizing natural sounds with analog circuits was something animals did. They synthesized gross approximations of pianos, strings, & drums 50 years ago with analog circuits. Even after the digital age, synthesizers stayed pretty bad & focused on synthetic sounds.
Lions never made a synthetic instrument & used it in music. They tweeked the default string sounds on a K3 & made basic square waves on the SID. There's an entire art form in creating synthetic instruments & replicating natural sounds. It's surprising how much pure synthesis of the 80's has given way to just playing samples.
Creating synthetic instruments & original music are completely separate tasks from what lions have done. It seems they would have to be done simultaneously with the usual practice routine, rather than replacing it.
Creating synthetic ASMR sounds continues to be a vision.
