The mane problem with running at night for xmas is the tendon not allowing fast enough running to keep warm.  There's going to be a brutal warmup phase where it can't really warm up.  Then there's the battery problem.  Full lighting adds 600mA or 100mA per mile.  26 miles would require 3 5Ah batteries.  It's a real brick with just 2 batteries.



Went with another shorter, southerly run in daylight, since rain was coming into the north.  22 miles ended up being about the maximum for the tendon.  Not loading it for 3 days deconditioned it. It was pretty slow.  Of course, only used the metronome for the last 11 miles which might have degraded results.


 

Somehow, that destination is coming in at 11 miles despite past memories of it being an even 13.  The energy burn was 250mAh/mile despite carrying a large mass for the last 3 miles & 2 batteries.  It only used headlights for the last .5.  26 miles with headlights would probably come in at 6.5Ah, if it was doing 6 mph.   The headlights burn 600mA.





Another one falls.  Used to eat there all the time when it was Blessings.

There's a lot of pessimism over Trump's tariffs & closed border bullshit promoting inflation.  1st of all, there aren't going to be any significant tariffs or a closed border.  There might be some minor tariff increases.

If he ever really did close the border, immigration is extremely inflationary for housing prices.  Almost all the demand for housing in Calif* has been from immigrants since 2020.  In exchange, there's suppression in wages.  Lions don't believe the cost savings from immigrants are really being passed to consumers.  Whatever is saved on wages is going to executives & lawyers.  The mane effect from immigration is housing inflation.

 A decline in immigration would cause housing inflation to stall & the fed to drop interest rates to 0 in order to hit inflation targets.  So if you like 0% mortgages, you're ironically on the closed border team.

 What lions think is happening is index funds are earning interest on large treasury positions.  They're putting the interest into stonks to manetain a constant allocation.  It's not millennials pouring money in the stonk market expecting lower interest rates.  Don't kid yourself.  US is a 1 party system.  Unless something is drastically wrong with the 1 campaign, they always vote democrat.  Even as bad as H-Rod was, they still voted for her. Ordering renters to provide $25,000 subsidies to new home owners is basically ordering them to pay what was an entire down payment 20 years ago.  Surely if they could afford these entitlements for home owers, they would have bought houses themselves.  They formerly required the high school dropouts to pay $50,000 in student loan forgiveness to Harvard graduates.  Anyways, the next idea was revising the GUI to get rid of the drop shadows, decorations.  The modern trend is flat colors, but the trends have to change every 6 months for these corporations to stay in business. 1 idea that looked good was an apply button in the file dialog which would allow loading files from a bunch of directories or picking 1 file at a time without closing the window.  The trick is most files require building an index.  The file dialog would have to be frozen during the load process or it would have to be locked out of loading again.  It would be a functional but unpleasant experience. The biggest win right now would be repositioning the plugins to the top when there isn't an asset.
