1 of those giant brick houses near the lake came up for $1/2 mil.  It was $150k when lions lived there.  Not long ago, zill was estimating a tiny house there at $600k.  It'll be $1 mil in 10 years.  That neighborhood wasn't Tampon but Lutz.     Affording that requires a reason to live near a job center.  Wouldn't know what to do with or how to clean 1920sq/ft.  The pool is a detractor because of the manetenance & the lack of use from lions.  Lions never once went in a pool in FL because they were too busy. 900 sq/ft of living space & 1000 sq/ft of shop is a better match.  The year in the 900 sq/ft apartment was arguably more positive than the 400 sq/ft years but most of the space just accumulated junk & spiders. What was can never be again, but lions still imagine if they moved back to Tampon, they would go back to doing exactly what they did before, walking to grocery stores & movie theaters on friday night, w...

S&P bear market being what it is, Apple launched a round of Steve Jobless photos to jumpstart the faithful.  Lions were surprised he would have been only 70 today.  It seemed like a lot more time passed since the last speech.  It's only been 14 years.  No boom since 2011 has loomed as large as the mobile app boom he started.  Engagement for engagement's sake has replaced any killer app. He made it to only 56.  That's much younger than it was 14 years ago.  55 seems to be the great filter. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The AI boom is the 1st boom that lions can find no evidence of benefiting anyone.  It's only creating the largest destruction of wealth in lion memory.  It's no dot com boom.  The dot com boom was a time of massive labor demand.  Why automation created so many jobs in the late 90's while automation today is destroying so many jobs is an interes...

A 2nd rough long run in a row.  Last week's 23 miler keeled over at mile 20.  This week's 28 miler keeled over at exactly the same distance & ended with 2 hours walking 8 miles.  Lions are still cramping at every mile 20.  The plan was to take 24oz of water at mile 9 & mile 19.  GU electrolyte made no difference.  The high was 74F & lions definitely sweated out during those 20 miles.  This was the fastest lions ever went out.  The last passage beyond 20 miles without cramping was 1/25.  That went 26 miles without cramping.  A combination of warmer weather & going out faster might be impacting the results.  A better strategy for going fast might be going just a hair beyond the last cramping point.  Otherwise, it's going to be necessary to slow down in order to finish 28 miles in a reasonable time.  The motors got aligned before this run, there was no speaker, & the result was only 187mAh/mil...

Moving on up Some camera tests before attempting a really hard hill.  Either the current battery or windings seem to be end of life.  It has a low chance of summiting.  The truck has to be unloaded of all shirts, speakers, food, camera batteries, & probably phones.  The geared truck of years ago had a better chance.  ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gootube is catoring to very high over achievers or at least guys who think they are.  The average gootube commenter is someone who is able to sit at a PC & comment on videos all day.  That makes him a home owner in a top tier company, worth $5 mil & in a position to pick his retirement date.  A big money maker is admonishing commenters from waiting just 1 more year before retiring.  At the very least, gootube commenters have so little problem finding jobs, they have to force themselves to retire.  Lio...

The fabled girl's gym had a fire 1 year ago, right when lions were in NY.  It was once intriguing because it was a 70 year old building with a really labor intensive, flimsy truss roof.  Some brightness tweeking can barely reveal the labor intensive bits looking exactly like lions remembered.  It was since renamed the small gym after the banning of genders. Young lion assumed an earthquake would eventually bring it down. Who knew the deed would finally be done by fire. What little was shown looked a lot smaller & lower than lions remembered.  The basketball nets were exactly what lions last saw 30 years ago.   https://www.independentnews.com/news/education_news/pleasanton-school-board-gives-green-light-to-85m-makeover-for-amador-valley-high-school/article_7d3874be-e3fb-11ef-9146-0b9b0fb54cbe.html They got a $1.75 mil insurance settlement, but instead of repairing it & reopening it, they moved towards demolishing it after 100 yea...

The hardest road path around the valley.  Still couldn't crack a 4 hour marathon, despite taking a food break.  Part of the problem is traffic.  The 1st 17 miles were much faster than 10 years ago, but the endurance is no more.     ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A video series about U-107 got lions pondering a diorama of U-107 attacking Rapidan.  Something got a lot of money invested in creating a kit specific to U-107.  U-107 was the 6th most successful u-boat in tonnage sunk.  Any type IXB kit would do, if custom decals were made. There's no Rapidan model or even Patoka class kit.  It would not be possible to print either boat.  There are many tiny bits.  It might be possible to salvage bits from other kits.  5" guns, 20mm guns were pretty common. Maybe lions would invest in a resin printer if pondering got to the point of doi...
