Dreamed the simulation was ending in 4 days. The ending began in the remotest parts of civilization & converged. It looked like a massive storm ripping up the ground. A guy had figured out the last place the simulation would end was outside Walnut Creek & humans were gathering there. Then the same guy said it's ending today. A storm was brewing. The simulation had been ending every 22 years, but we never noticed because it was in our sleep. We always woke up in a different simulation. The lion ran to the gathering place. It was a long way away, in the middle of a forest. Needed a luck dragon. Dreamed about inflating a fake car to reserve a parking space. Self inflating cars had become a big business. They inflated instantly with the same chemical reaction as air bags. It was slightly bigger than the real car. Thought parking the fake car would be free, but still had to pay for it.

Slowly working through Wandering Earth, the lion kingdom is reminded how Americans strangely appreciate Chinese culture in Chinese movies: no immigration, no imported goods, no heroine leaders, but reject it when shown in their own movies. It's the ages old support for progressive ideas that only exists during election years & when they want it to exist. The women are all incompetent. The father figure exercises complete control over the family. The cast is entirely native chinese, absolutely no foreigners except for 2 Russians in space who die. Every prop is made in China. Absolutely nothing is imported. It reminds lions of the very closed system China is historically known for. The mane confusing point for lions is how the characters want to reunite with their families while the government wants to draft them into rescuing the planet. Ever wonder why lightbulbs have silly plastic domes, even though they're just LEDs? The lion kingdom burned out its last CFL, ending their 18 year reign. The last CFL was obtaned in 2012. After being turned upside down, it quickly burned out. There are still giant CFL's in the apartment for video lighting, but they're slowly being replaced by LED panels which put out more light in less space. Calif* once subsidized CFL's. Then the voters discovered the mercury was worse than the energy savings, so they were banned in favor of LEDs. Now Calif* subsidizes homeless encampments to combat hyperinflation of rent.
Who knew when US's debt was downgraded in 2011, it would lead to the largest credit boom in history & the end of nonzero interest rates. The numbers are laughable, nowadays. A debt ceiling of $14 trillion? Debt of only 80% of GDP? What were they thinking? Today's debt is 106% of GDP & interest rates are going back to 0 in July. Debt ceilings are a thing of the past. Borrowing 40x of one's income for a mortgage is normal because of the increase in productivity the mortgage allows. Imagine if everyone had to live in Idaho in $1/2 million houses they could afford with cash. Nothing but potatoes would ever be produced. We'd still be carving emails in stone tablets & sacrificing cows to gods. Thanks to debt, people can move to Calif* & live in $4 million condos. Finally got Titanic Honor & Glory on the junk laptop. It's extremely photorealistic, manely from PBR textures. Very little of the ship is actually modeled. There are no exterior paths. The Ireland exterior is empty & unpopulated. In reality, Belfast was already a city by then. It's more interesting as a recreation of the world in 1912 rather than the ship itself. The world was far less crowded. There was no middle class. Then as now, most of a worker's income went to rent. Booting it takes 10 minutes. Linux is almost instantaneous. Windows has become so much slower in the last 20 years, it makes the lion kingdom feel justified in not programming for it despite all other applications become windows only.
