In another routine discovery for Nshitia, CUDA is not compatible with sleep mode.  You get the famous 'CUDA_ERROR_UNKNOWN: unknown error" after sleep mode.  After many experiments, the lion kingdom discovered merely unloading the nvidia_uvm module fixes the problem.

DAK was the junk mail lions used to get in the 80's. Some of the issues are now online & considered of cultural importance. "Drew" was such a good presenter, it was amusing to read through but even by that age, lions knew the junk probably didn't work as well as described. The mane giveaway was the sales pitches being a bit too positive & just enough personal experience to realize what was being shown couldn't possibly work as well as described. DAK magazine might have been why lions were so hated during the positive psychology movement. It trained lions to doubt anyone who was overly positive.

The mane items lions remember are the air ionizer & the headset radios. That stuff looks so trashy after 40 years of experience, it makes lions wonder how much stuff being sold on gootube videos today is just as worthless, but we just don't have enough experience to realize it yet. All the quad copters, cameras, phones, cars that define the modern cutting edge are a similar story. They do their basic function about as well as what was sold to us in the 80's, but the premium features being pushed like AI, smart something don't really work at all.

DAK reveals the greatest secret of the 80's: nothing really worked well & certainly nowhere close to how we remember in our heads. Another 40 years of experience will probably reveal how worthless today's gadgets truly are.
