5 years later & it's another suck of the navigator sav.  Lots of 2x through useless dialog this time. Surprised how the Sarah Jessicah Parker dialog & the obligatory time travel quips now just fall on the floor.

 Houses doubled since the last viewing, so any footage of that thing now got a lot more attention.  No way anyone's getting those views nowadays.  Even executives & sports stars are out of the loop.  They can only afford those for rental property income.

 



 The remodeling between the 2 time periods was a lot niftier.

 

Pretty much what lions remember about the abundance of houses under $500k in Fl*rida before Bernanke.  Sub $500k was the upper limit for the longest time, then the helicopter drop policy began.

 



 It was completely rebuilt on 1 side while the other side seems to be a utility side that was preserved.

 




40 years ago, we couldn't decipher the alien's subliminal speech so he had to repeat everything.  Modern audio compression has revealed "David" "are you there?" "help me" "are you coming?" "get in the ralph unit".



The exteriors were Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport.

Nowadays, they might let it on if it's already inside the base but anything enclosed would have gotten inspected before it got in the hangar.

 



The real hangar definitely isn't there anymore & might have been a movie soundstage.  Young lion was confused by why they showed such a generic building over & over.  It wasn't clear that it was where the alien was.

 


Pondered why the alien could receive FM radio, somewhat communicate telepathically, but couldn't tap into the cell phone system of the time. At least it was a useful visual.

 


 

 As his brief 36 minutes of discovery & flying came to an end, lions pondered how the universe he traveled to would continue on its timeline where the parents only saw him for a few hours, 8 years after being abducted, while the 1976 universe became the happy path.  Exactly how tragic could many universes get?

Some universes might be so tragic that lion life never started or all life was extinguished by disaster.  The current universe might be a more tragic case.  There were times when lions couldn't imagine surviving without a relationship but most men do.

 


 Then lions pondered what were the most stressful environments the ship was designed to travel in.  Carl Sagan wrote Contact in 1985.  Wormholes were well known & seemed like the more stressful environment it was designed to travel in.

Its theatric run over in 1 month, Project Hail Mary arrived on the hard drive in short order.   After running the Michael Jackson movie for just a week, the IMAX theater now seems to be derelict.  They could be reserving it for private screenings or it could be too expensive to operate. It's a growing number of movies which won't be available in blu ray.  Lions continued to be perplexed by the inferior quality of webrips.      Skimming through it, the resemblance to 80's depictions of the future was striking.         It was a time when the future was painted white & noodled.  Sometimes you have to go back to go forward.   Moving on, they made every effort to pack as much of the book in a 2:30 screening time as possible.  The shots are all very quick.  It was like watching normal movies at 2x.  The book being intended from the start to be a movie definitely helped.   Computer animated exterior s...
