Bald eagle adventures continued with some potato quality footage from Duke Blackwood.  The Goog showed him as the Ronald Reagan library director but could find no original copy of the footage.  Strange that he would take an interest in eagle spotting.

There were some more fragments of a longer video showing Jackie getting pinned down.  It was her time to go & be replaced by the younger bald eagles, but being in an overpopulated area full of humans changed the outcome.  Still programmed purely for life in the wild, she must have been thinking she would never fly again, settling into 1 final perch on a strange boat shaped tree.

Anemia & kidney inflammation were discovered.  The bald eagles got scared away from the nest from July 4 fireworks.   They went back by July 6.

Reviewing what limited footage hasn't been blocked or gone paid, Jackie last entered the nest on July 13 & was rescued on 7/19.   They were routinely fighting off juvenile bald eagles but no-one revealed if they were past offspring from the same nest.

Then it was revealed the enemy bald eagle was a female putting the moves on Shadow.  They eventually gave Jacky a blood transfusion from an eagle in captivity.

Another 4x1000 in the heat.  The tendon has been maxing out during this.  Daily tendon stretching has been improving recovery, but the old days are still over.  Doing the 1st one on the new downhill has definitely been cheating compared to the old days.

1000m is the repeat distance traditionally recommended after 50.

Right knee got to a plateau after many days of extensions.  It can get up & down stairs with care but never again as easily as 40.  The problem might be the kneeling to use the bench.  It also hurt a lot more after the km repeats.  It doesn't hurt while running.

There are some ponderings if this one is the beginning of arthritis or a torn meniscus.  The burning sensation in the paws went away after limiting pullups to 5/day, but lions suspect it might be weather related.

Then a beast on the next day.  Got burned out by mile 10 but the lion kingdom was manely back in business.
