Lion ponderings

Stowaway was another dud.  Silicon Valley is flooding the market with low budget sci-fi movies with little substance & low quality visuals, but it might be lions having seen everything already.  Unfortunately, lions in middle age just can't be convinced a petite 35 year old has any compassion at all for anyone, let alone the lowest crew member.  The generation X captain is the 1 fossil in the movie who's convincing.   The most exciting visual may go down as the Stratasys/Makerbot printing a cast.

Library of congress has some more high res photos of a different time in heroine hall's past. The section hosting banjo playing heroine of 1880 was looking quite beaten up. Based on the truck & the signage, it was probably the 1990's. From 1916-1943, it was used just as a dorm. At some point in the 20th century, it had a low budget extension with some kind of bathroom. Banjo heroine's facilities must have been a bit too rustic by 20th century standards. A 1915 photo showed the cupola still intact, so it wasn't damaged in 1906. The world that was thriving in the 1870's was manely abandoned in the 1980's, probably from urban decay & the 1st migration to the suburbs.

  The lamps in 1880's heroine college were a Cleveland student lamp & a common paw lamp of the era.  They all burned kerosine.  Heroine college in those days would have smelled like kerosine & horse manure.  They were intended to be safer than previous kerosine lamps.  Kerosine lamps before then tended to explode.  Incandescent light was invented a year earlier, but Calif* wouldn't have electricity until after 1900. In 1890, heroine hall still had kerosine lamps. By 1898, they had acetylene lamps in College hall.  Acetylene lamps weren't mass produced until 1894.  They would have made acetylene on site by mixing calcium carbide with water.  The burners were twin burners.  Maybe they mixed more oxygen & carbonized less.

Finally got around to reviewing George Floyd's biography. Kiwipedia gave him a glowing biography. He was manely in jail until 2014. He seemed to have gotten it together by 2014 but had a drug addiction. The government mandated shutdowns of 2020 pushed him back into a life of crime, with a counterfeit $20 bill. No-one really knows if he died of a drug overdose or being pinned by a cop. Of course, the edited videos showed he was barely able to stand up & the cops were using excessive force, but no-one knows if he was faking it & there's no complete copy of the videos you can download. Chauvin had a similarly checkered past, getting charged with tax evasion & having a lot of complaints about excessive force. They were like 2 peas in a pod, destined to both run into each other & end up with negative outcomes.

The lion kingdom believes the haunting photo of 2 women in a dorm room in 1880 was in the front 3rd floor of the mane building, based on the rose bush & shape of the window.  The size of the bush & dates are inconsistent though.  The bush had yet to grow in 1973.  Photos from 1890 show it sometimes shorter than 1880 & sometimes taller.   In 1888, all the heroines moved out of the opulent mane building & into a purpose built residence hall. 1890 1896 2011 The heroine building was built in 1871, hence a lot of photos from 1873.  All the heroines in the windows, the horse cart, make it particularly haunting.  The roof gazebo was lobbed off between 1907 & 1920.  It may have been damaged in the 1906 earthquake. The earliest photos are from 1871.

  Anyways, finally looked to see where the famous Feltsman photo was taken & it was indeed in the Moscow embassy on the day he played for his freedom. That was a high pressure performance. Didn't know the microphones were concealed & the tape recorder was smuggled into Moscow. He really wasn't happy because he wasn't allowed to play in public & certainly not allowed to leave Russia. You can see the very room as it looked in 2016. He must have been on 1 side of the columns. The foreign audience must have been on the other side. He must have looked like a prisoner playing from inside his cell. That was the most wiretapped building in the world, in 1984.

  The word of the year is "leftist", a more benign sounding term the amerikan people call themselves in place of marxist. The lion kingdom would ask the amerikan people, after they confiscate all the wealth of the top 1% to fund a couple days of rent for the bottom 1%, where are they going to get the money to keep going? Confiscate all the wealth of the top 2%, then the top 10%? There's just a disconnect between being an abysmal student, investing too poorly to reap any of the stonk market growth of the last 20 years, having a very mediocre career, & never having the means to own a house, retire, or even rent more than a shoebox, & still being classified as too disgustingly wealthy to qualify for any stimulus checks, still required to pay the highest tax bracket, too disgustingly wealthy to qualify for a roth IRA.

 Evil writers use a 16 bit IBM PS/2 in DOS text mode with model M keyboard while good writers use an antique suitcase typewriter.  Why are all the good movies from just between 1990 & 1992?  The glorious wood paneled rear projection TV's of the 1980's are still mysteriously absent from the internet. Only TV's made before 1970, low cost TV's from the 1980's, & rear projection TV's made after 2000 are on the gootubes. The age of the average gootuber being 20-30 doesn't explain the hole. Sears used to be full of wood paneled rear projection TV's back in the 80's but it must have been extremely rare for anyone to buy one. Rear projection TV's must not have been attainable for consumers until the 2000's.

Reading about the net worth of top gootubers, it's amazing so many people "donate" money to wealthy names on the internet who have stuff they'll never have & who block them, downmod them, chastize them. The top paytreon earners are worth millions & paytreon is still marketed as some kind of charity that people are supposed to donate to out of kindness. It's kind of like people who praise a god who gave them cancer. Maybe they think the god will have a change of heart if they kiss ass enough, like god is some kind of executive. God isn't an executive & she doesn't care if you swear, grow a mane, or pat her back. She just cares about the survival of the union, which is itself problematic if humans are ever to be free. Look, the best thing that could happen for human freedom is US's government running out of money. It's not what's taught in school, but it's the way biology has always evolved.

  The lion kingdom's opinion is if Trump won Georgia in 2016 under the unfair voting law, he could have won Georgia in 2020 under the unfair voting law. Of course, that doesn't mean his battle in 2016 was fair. Democrats want to eliminate the electoral collage when they lose as much as republicans want to change the voting laws when they lose. The trend for the last 32 years has been 20 years of democrat presidents & 12 years of republican presidents who only won by campaigning on a liberal agenda, so the voting laws aren't the problem. Americans are economically liberal & socially conservative.
