The secret to making palo alto networks work in virtualbox is to statically configure all the networking in /etc/rc.local.  Rename dhclient, Networkmanager to dhclient.bak, NetworkManager.bak to disable them.  Dhclient doesn't do anything which can't be statically configured.  The pangps, pangpa programs all run after /etc/rc.local.  The problem is they have a race condition with dhclient & networkmanager.

This doesn't fix DNS.  DNS still requires bodging a nameserver in /etc/resolv.conf.  

Cisco never had any problems.  It managed to coexist with dhclient, networkmanager, & DNS.




Dreamed about the stonk market falling to the 25-30k position as predicted.  Unlike the prediction, it felt a lot worse in reality & there was a lot of uncertainty about how low it would go.  Reality is a drop of 50% would be unprecedented & short lived.

There are a lot of theories about crashes getting bigger the longer they don't happen & the can getting kicked down the road, like crashes are earthquakes.  In reality, every month it doesn't drop, stuff continues to get produced, methods continue to improve, & the bottom of a future crash becomes a little higher until the bottom of the future crash is above the top of an earlier crash.

Doomers presume the way we live now is the same as the way we lived 10 years ago.  As poor as the lion kingdom is, it's not going back to the way it lived in 2010.  Someone with money is not even close to how they lived in 2010.




The lion kingdom believes chewable vitamins are better than raw vitamins.  The reason is most animals eat more than they should.  Chewable vitamins relieve some of the imaginary appetite.







A DVD copy of Resident Evil II ended up on the hard drive, some time in 2007, but the lion kingdom had no memory of ever watching it.

Its theatric run over in 1 month, Project Hail Mary arrived on the hard drive in short order.   After running the Michael Jackson movie for just a week, the IMAX theater now seems to be derelict.  They could be reserving it for private screenings or it could be too expensive to operate. It's a growing number of movies which won't be available in blu ray.  Lions continued to be perplexed by the inferior quality of webrips.      Skimming through it, the resemblance to 80's depictions of the future was striking.         It was a time when the future was painted white & noodled.  Sometimes you have to go back to go forward.   Moving on, they made every effort to pack as much of the book in a 2:30 screening time as possible.  The shots are all very quick.  It was like watching normal movies at 2x.  The book being intended from the start to be a movie definitely helped.   Computer animated exterior s...
