The lion kingdom's pandemic airline play ended up a dumpster fire.  Going to let it go to 0 since it's not a significant percentage of the general fund. It's 20% below its pandemic low & falling like a rock.  It was a most peculiar trend since the sector generally is in an upturn & berk's exit didn't significantly impact it in the short term.  1 theory is escalating war drove it down.  Another theory is abstaining from layoffs during the pandemic came at a price of future underperformance.

Either the airline is going to get bought out or it's going to bounce someday.  A lion could be forgiven for thinking its best days were behind it.

It briefly doubled in 2021, but lions would have had to pay income tax.

The current wars might reflect economic desperation as they did in the Obama years.  The peace of the Trump years might have reflected better economic times.  Firehosing the labor unions with printed "infrastructure" money wasn't the best idea, but both parties would have done it.

Lions still don't see much future upside in interest rates.

What a lion would do to get another 20 years & be 1 of the animals with money 20 years ago.  The ones with money, full scholarships, upwardly mobile executive jobs, were the ones with lives.  The family path wasn't the way to go, but there were a lot of developmental steps lions missed out on: buying a house, world travels, making love to a hottie.

The thing is the guys with access to hotties didn't have a lot going on upstairs, even past 20.  They might have been upwardly mobile but they weren't going to be Warren Buffet or push any frontiers.
