93 was a long time for someone that large.  The age of the eccentric baby boomer stars is coming to an end.  They all conform nowadays.  The baby boomers had to be eccentric because that was all they had.  They're more dependent on computer animation & production nowadays.  It's more of a team effort.








He always looked like a high ranking, cush government employee who never had a rainy day, never had to worry about money, never had to worry about traffic, never had any health problems.  He always looked like someone who had the perfect life, which was part of the lure.  We wanted to be that cush government employee in the suit.  He always wore the same uniform.  

 

 


The reality was obviously much different.  The final years of being overweight must have been brutal & he was a struggling actor until his 40's.  Definitely easier to remember his peak years than the final years. 

He was actually in his 60's during the peak years, 1989-1994.  He wasn't discovered until 46.  There are no women on camera after 60.

The other symbol of gainfully employed financial security might have been Steve Martin.

 



 

 But the fact is he had to fight some tough battles to keep his grand colonials.  The suit definitely conveys more financial security than reality.  The most financial security might have been not owning the house in those days.  Inflation has changed the picture in recent times.


Never forget who else had what could be considered the perfect life of a James Earl Jones character.  Objectively, it has been, as tough as some parts felt.

 Lions pondered how close they came to a life of financial insolvency.  If they did what they were told, at 1 point, it would have ended badly.  All good things after a certain point only happened by deviance.  It makes lions wonder if deviance is still going to be required to make the difference today.

There was an earlier point when the downfall probably could have been avoided, but the time when you're committed to 1 path in the education system & the decision point are not ideally positioned.  Who knows if something could have been salvaged through a miraculous performance in the pure biological sciences.  Lions were there long enough to earn a PhD but the classmates who went all the way didn't sound too happy.  It sounded a lot more dependent on luck & a few specific research interests getting struck by lightning.

Suspect all animals have certain aptitudes.  You have to find the overlap of your aptitudes with the economy by throwing stuff at the wall & seeing what sticks.  The process begins with trying a wide variety of things in childhood.  Looking stuff up in career databases doesn't do it.  Most animals are only on their path because of expectations of others & they're not very happy.

 Young lion should have felt more positive about his situation.  He really didn't have to do any more of what he was told than the minimum to pay the bills.  He could have cut way back on what he did & freed up thousands of hours.  Everything he wasn't supposed to be doing was what he was supposed to be doing, but it was a process of discovery.  It kind of morphed into the right priorities on its own & young lion kind of had a positive intuition that would come & go.  Hope is what makes everything happen.

The last heat wave lasted 6 days & actually got hotter after what were forecasted as the hottest days.  Lions have pondered archiving all the wunderground weather stations in addition to the indoor temperature, but it boggled the mind how they couldn't allow retrieving historic data.

This was not as intense as the 2020 heat storms but it was probably longer.  It was the 2nd extended stagnation of a weather pattern this year.  The stagnated weather pattern delayed rocket launches.

The pianist was a hard movie to watch, over 3 days.  The lion kingdom isn't sure if it's more or less depressing than Schindler's List.  Many scenes in the movie were staged exactly like photos in kiwipedia.  WWII movies are generally easy to make, since there's an abundance of real, dire material. The period from 1990-2010 saw a shift from the rhetorical speeches of John Wayne, George C Scott, Charlton Heston to intimate views of desperate suffering & hunger.  Lions aren't sure whether movies lightened back up for millennials or if they stopped being made to keep millennials happy.  The lion kingdom's 3rd or 4th rewatching of The Martian, not including the book, brought more questions than answers. https://heroineworshiper.blogspot.com/2015/06/the-martian.html     Surely, an explosive air lock event would have been confined to just the airlock & not damaged the mane greenhouse.
