So Cinelerra from the beginning had a way to share a track between multiple tracks. The feature still exists but seems to be broken in some cases. Lions believe it's not useful anymore, in the age of nested EDL's. It was never used in the last 25 years.
Animals have run into problems with the compositing system, when trying diabolically complex toy projects. It was never really intended to support the most diabolically complex track routing. It's not possible to decipher these projects in a timeline format & the output looks like shit anyways. They really need a graph format, but a graph editor would be a significant new expansion & slower to set up for what lions manely need.
The timeline system with its shared plugins, shared tracks, unlimited tracks & arbitrary output channels originated in an audio technology class lions took. The record icon for track arming was straight from otari tape decks. The shared track was supposed to be like a side chain. Lions would go from the class on the north side of campus to a UNIX workstation on the south side of campus to try to replicate that stuff in software.
Regrettably, a need for such sophisticated features never materialized. It's never been the everything program & never will be.
Pondering 1 problem EDL, a diabolical project which really only exists as a stress test, the problem might be the Reroute effect doing something different than the swap channels effect.

Lions set to the task of using up their inferior sodium fluoride toothpaste. Straight toothpaste & water might be a good alternative to mouthwash. It's probably more expensive than mouthwash. It doesn't fade like mouthwash.

He's back. Politicians are the most worthless forms of life, but it's still fun to watch the voters kick someone out, realize they made a mistake, & put him back in.

These potato quality photos revived the smell of magazine paper from 40 years ago. Lions dreamed about tiny TV's but only briefly had a strong desire for one. The limits of the picture quality & reception were apparent, even to a 10 year old.
Modern smart watches can be abused to show video, with enough effort. There is no useful solution. Because of the need for monetization, what's available only shows video in a window.
Fullscreen video like what we had 40 years ago would require transcoding on a server & a custom program which scaled the video to fill the watch screen. Helas, the lion kingdom no longer has a development environment for its ancient apple watch. It would entail developing a new power supply, investing a lot of money on an SSD. It would be cheaper to buy another watch.
