Body rang the register after 9x200.  Got it through another 4 with longer breaks but only 4.  The heat combined with the tendon did it.  Pleasantly surprised by a roughly 8 minute mile in the uphill but the heat definitely reduced the output.  The battery was truly puffed.

Noted how clean the altitude graph was.  Normally get a choppy area under the cage.

There it is. Withdrawal & declarations of victory on both sides secured, as predicted.  It was really the only possible outcome, after achieving nothing but burning a few billion doll hairs, losing hundreds of lives, & destroying all the F-14's.  Hopefully the powers that be got a good deal on their oil shares.  Good luck to the ancestors of Greenspun still fighting to survive in the holyland & the Iranian athletes getting executed by the Ayatollah.

The drum beats get louder for some kind of remote control for Cinelerra playback.  Extending the previous laptop keyboard port was 1 idea.  Power management would be the problem.  A simple IR dongle could enumerate as a keyboard & pick up signals from some junk remote.  It just needs to send numpad keys & possibly a label key.  Cinelerra would always be running in full screen.  There wouldn't be a label indication.

Lions have manually cut out intros, outros, sponsors, paytreon credits, skits, & movie quotes for years.  It's probably faster to 4x through some of it.  Sometimes it needs to go between 1.5x & 2x based on the accents.

Also noted the audio time stretcher is slower than the fast playback mode.  Actually, this render only took 4 minutes but contained 4 minutes of silence.

It does FFT + resample, but really doesn't sound as good as basic windowing.  The debate has raged over whether to convert it to basic windowing.  The playback stretcher is a modular class.

Encountered the few alphaserver stills while scrounging around for website files that no-one will ever read.  The video from 2019 wasn't the best reuse of the existing footage.  It should have been upscaled & gamma adjusted.

Sometimes ponder somehow obtaining a Dec Alphaserver on fleebay or something, but realistically it was vastly slower than a modern raspberry pi.  It's a reminder of how much a raspberry pi weighed in 2000.  Only the memory was competitive with modern standards, at 8GB.  It would be just a museum piece to show the technology of the day punching above its weight.

That was speed through brute force.  Modern AI methods are kind of the opposite, chewing up massive brute force to print hello world.

It's 1 piece of jewelry among an HP 9000, SGI, commodore 64 that lions wouldn't have room to store.  There was a chance of obtaining a free, fully functioning O2 in the early 2000's but it just wasn't that impressive anymore.  It was damn slow compared to lion memory.
