Continuing the search, in terms of cost, Villages is the cheapest, Titusville is 2nd, & Largo is most expensive.  Titusville has a better location. Villages is the only one with running paths suitable for speed work & is the least dramatic transition from the status quo.  Largo is manely nostalgic, but has a beach & the most walkable destinations.  Titusville has no beach but it does have a waterfront.  Lions lived near a beach for 9 months but only went to it once.

Lions would only buy a house in Titusville.  Largo is too expensive & impacted by hurricanes.  The Villages has a lot of downward pressure on home equity.  The big question with Titusville is the noise from daily starship launches.  It's 12-13 miles from the launchpad while the noisy South Padre videos are 5-6 miles from the launchpad.  It probably would be equivalent to an airport.  Lions would probably live 15 miles from the launchpad, as far inland as possible to save money.

Titusville is in the lead because of the prospects of buying a house, the relatively low cost, proximity to the space program, relative protection from hurricanes.  The prospects of the space coast are similar to silicon valley 50 years ago.  Helas, it would be difficult without the equity from the land.

The lion kingdom's flaming hot niece through marriage #1 lives near Largo.   The lion kingdom's brother through that marriage lives in Orlando.  Polyamory wasn't quite as natural in 1975 as it is now & the old man was not involved at all in the brother's past.

There's no plan to contact the brother, but it might aid with the coming losses.   It would be unwise if the inheritance all went to just 1 of us.  He would never know his grandpa was in WWII or his grandma was a julliard trained professional violinist. In traditional polyamory, the inheritance is split equally between all the ex & current wife's kids.  In that case, contacting him would be fair game since the financial reveal would be done, but the old man was never involved in his past.

Dreamed the old man bought a quad copter because he didn't know what to do with his money.  Lions still believe the old man doesn't have a lot of money, but who knows where the stonk market is going.  Lions were reminded of the last time they spent anything on flying machines, 15 years ago, & how that era is now mostly forgotten.

 Then dreamed about running a 26 mile long loop around Santa Barbara.  1 side was in the hills & the other side was next to the ocean.  Another dream to join the collection.  Was having trouble starting the truck, remembering to put 2 batteries in, & finding the route.

    It was time to take on the lion kingdom's 1st 1 star movie.    Amusing that Grok applied an IPv6 style pseudo header to the computation of an IPv4 ping packet, even though IPv4 doesn't use the pseudo header.       Another Grok error was in a basic TCP demonstrator.  To avoid a TIMED_WAIT on the server blocking the port, you have to exit the server without closing the socket.   These errors take a lot more time to track down than doing it the old way.  It might be fixed in paid versions of Grok.  Finally tracked down the Sun bootloader font from many decades ago & put it in Cinelerra as gallant12x22.  Put Sun Gallant Demi into the goog to get useful results. https://github.com/dim13/gallant/tree/master/ttf   It's a fixed point font in an archaic format.  Some guy converted it into a TTF with a lot of antialiasing.  He has a PNG image showing no antialiasing.  It has to be set to size 22 & requires a threshold to get rid of the antialiasing.  Freetype might be shifting it 1/2 pixel vertically. It had a kind of curiosity value, but lions have had no need for any fixed point fonts besides the 24pt Sony of CAEDM fame. Another hit said it was 1 of the fonts available in kernel framebuffer mode.  Lions haven't used kernel framebuffer mode in decades.  It could possibly replace 24pt Sony if lions wrote a fixed point converter.
