Gootube dropped way off in the last 3 years.  8 bit guy, retro guy, retro recipes, LGR, either disappearing or downsizing were part of a bigger trend of the juice not being worth the squeeze.  It's almost entirely converted to AI generated junk, AI generated thumbnails, & revenue mining formulas.

The IMAX 70mm projectionist 6 miles down the road is a god.  

Another big hit movie,  2 months after Hail Mary, but lions just don't see the magic.  What sold young lion 40 years ago on the Odyssey were the giant creatures.  The limited stills don't show anything remarkable.  It's like the 15 perf 70mm emulsion budget didn't leave anything for the creatures.

Gone are the days when the internet just let you have all the information.  Access is very rationed nowadays, to just 1 still frame at a time instead of a grid of all of them & the interface is dogshit.

Imagine getting 54 reels & having to splice them together.  Only then does the fun part of loading it & watching 300lbs of celluloid shoot around the room begin.  Today's larger reels have introduced some serious pinch points in that mechanism.

 As Woody Allen said, they just don't invest in small movies anymore.  Small movies were what led to the creativity boom of the 80's, though.  Without the long shots, there can be nothing new.

Pretty depressing seeing that bald eagle of many years looking rather ragged. 

For sea lions, they don't intervene. A blessing & a curse to have so many humans living near the bald eagles.  They wouldn't be rescued if they were in the middle of nowhere.

Its theatric run over in 1 month, Project Hail Mary arrived on the hard drive in short order.   After running the Michael Jackson movie for just a week, the IMAX theater now seems to be derelict.  They could be reserving it for private screenings or it could be too expensive to operate. It's a growing number of movies which won't be available in blu ray.  Lions continued to be perplexed by the inferior quality of webrips.      Skimming through it, the resemblance to 80's depictions of the future was striking.         It was a time when the future was painted white & noodled.  Sometimes you have to go back to go forward.   Moving on, they made every effort to pack as much of the book in a 2:30 screening time as possible.  The shots are all very quick.  It was like watching normal movies at 2x.  The book being intended from the start to be a movie definitely helped.   Computer animated exterior s...

   Amusing that Grok applied an IPv6 style pseudo header to the computation of an IPv4 ping packet, even though IPv4 doesn't use the pseudo header.       Another Grok error was in a basic TCP demonstrator.  To avoid a TIMED_WAIT on the server blocking the port, you have to exit the server without closing the socket.   These errors take a lot more time to track down than doing it the old way.  It might be fixed in paid versions of Grok.
